How is Semi 1 an "indie" Semi is beyond me...

 

It does have a lot of traditional indie supporters, Espen, Eledan, Zechonia, Batidas, Caerfryddia, Utopia, and there are less obvious ones in the other semi, I guess. But no, they are pretty perfectly balanced this month, so hopefully we won't have anyone not qualifying because they are in the wrong semi, which UnoShake, Batidas, and maybe at a push, Usfland and Armenijain as well suffered last month.

 

Hell, if I had been in semi 2 last month, I wouldn't have stood a chance. The divide that month was huge.

I thought Guillotine was semi-well known. I think I charted it about the same time as Martin.

Oh it is... I was meaning to refer specifically to Sahara Heart as it had only leaked a couple of days before the confirmation thread opened and I was surprised Mikey had already heard it.

A good half of my semi is 10/10 as usual with my ridiculously lenient scoring system :lol: Three of the worst entries of all time are in there too though :/

I know everyone thinks I'm a pop slag but I definitely had more of an indie leaning in last months votes so I'd consider myself more of a half and halfer

Really? :o My lowest score was a 7/10 in Semi 1! I have ONE 10/10 across all 41 songs! Then eight 9.5/10's, six of those being in Semi 1 and two being in semi 2, which for my money is FAR weaker than Semi 1 overall with many more likely DNQ's.

Semi 1 is very strong, but there's a good few dreadful songs in there too.

Where abouts did 'Heavy Stone' peak in your chart? It might give me an indicator as to whether Batidas can avoid the dreaded DNQ this month.

 

Also referring back to the pop/indie discussion I'd say Batidas overall are quite neutral (that's neutral, not fence sitters!!! :P ) as I've awarded 12 points to quite a few pop songs. I'd even say 'Heavy Stone' is verging more towards pop than indie.

Oh, her music is quite ok IMO as well but she's sooo unlikeable that it's hard to ignore that when judging her songs. You can be glad that you don't understand what she's saying in interviews. :lol:

Are we getting mp3's at some point? It's the only way I get to listen to the tracks in their entirety. I spend most of my time at work so I have to have them on my ipod to listen to on the journeys and stuff.

I will do them tomorrow morning because I'm kind like that.
