Re OTF - I'm not sure Pitbull would be flattered at being described as 'Europop'... :P

If he doesn't want to be describe as europop, he needs to stop working with RedOne and Afrojack, and stop rapping on Edward Maya rip-offs. Rain Over Me literally sounds like something from the Eurovision Song Contest too. He also needs to stop sampling songs like Alors on danse and We No Speak Americano

Calle Ocho and Hotel Room Service are quite unique songs, but his latest stuff has been incredibly generic tbh.

89. Fairytale of New York - Kirsty MacColl & The Pogues

I can see both these being back in the official top 40 a week tomorrow. :)

They both entered top 40 on the equivalent of a week tomorrow last year as well - with Mariah at #22 (this would end up being her peak oddly) and The Ppgues at #27 (they climbed again each of the next 3 weeks and ultimately peaked at #17).

The Pogues are starting to look like not charting far off the #51 position they got this week last year :D They got off to a quicker start last year but they now seem to have caught up.

In the US, it's Party Rock Anthem that's climbed back to #10. :drama: And Sexy and I Know It has climbed back to #1.

LMFAO's songs have so much longeivty in the chart. It's really incredible.

And I was just about to say how happy I was that "Nothing's real but love" is still top 10 ...

Roll on the album now, I hope it makes the top 10 and has some longevity.

OH DEAR GOD, who can honestly say they think any LMFAO song seriously deserves top 10? Really, UK? I suppose I didn't mind PRA especially considering everyone here hates it, but Sexy And I Know It is TRULY AWFUL.

When do u mean? Because Rihanna is number 1 is us.

So rebecca ferguson has now dropped to 12 will she be top 10 tommorow? What are the chances of Rihanna doing the double then?realy pleased to see GaGa at number 8 with her EP wish marry the night would go top 10!!!!!!

RiRi will do the double tomorrow.

She showed Olly how it's good to maintain sales throughout the week, as she had done each of the previous 7 weeks before...hence her solid chart run. 1D had no chance in the albums, the gap was probably 30,000 at the midnight, last night. She wouldn't have been caught by them tbh.

Next week, well she will be dethroned. She will be no.2, again with a slight battle with Olly, before seeing him off. Albums is harder to call I expect Rihanna will sell around another 100k (not much more/less tbh) and anyone who can top that, no.1 is there. Buble's growing...and well Olly could enter with 75k or 125k, you never know?!

I think he's talking about US iTunes, not officially B-)

Rihanna will get #1 in the US officially this week and next week at the very least, even though she's not #1 on iTunes, because her airplay is so ridiculously high (and still climbing).
I wouldn't worry about Rebecca missing the top ten officially. I remember Notorious by The Saturdays was out of the top ten on the Friday (and down to #15 or something) and still went to #8 (with a #5 iTunes peak)

Rihanna only slipped on US iTunes because of the album version being high up!

n the UK I think the week (Dec 5th) after next Flo Rida, might be the last person standing! Olly, RiRi (from this week) and the finalists all will have inflated sales due to the exposure of X Factor, and imo Flo Rida will be more stable than the lot of them!!

Labrinth back up to #4 :cheer: Amazed at how well this is holding up, I really hope it can somehow pip Kelly to the post and get a fifth week top 5 tomorrow (the Now! 80 version is #52 and the radio edit is #103 which should help it greatly, it just depends how far Kelly got ahead over the week).

XFF will obviously be #1 next week but I think 2-4 could be in any order (Dance With Me Tonight, We Found Love and Good Feeling being the 3 songs). I do hope Rihanna stays top 3 because I'd quite like her to at least match and preferably beat Maroon 5's nine-week stay.

XF Song list this week (two songs each):

Amelia Lily - 'China In Your Hand' (T'Pau) and 'Since U Been Gone' (Kelly Clarkson)

Janet Devlin - 'Mmmbop' (Hanson) and 'Under The Bridge' (Red Hot Chili Peppers)

Misha B - 'Girls Just Wanna Have Fun' (Cyndi Lauper) and 'Killing Me Softly' (Fugees)

Little Mix - 'Baby' (Justin Bieber) and 'Beautiful' (Christina Aguilera)

Marcus - 'I'm Your Man' (Wham!) and 'Lately' (Stevie Wonder)

The first song is the "Guilty Pleasure" and the second is the contestant's "Heroes" song.

I think

'Lately'

and

'Killing Me Softly'

will benefit most from the performances.

Good selection of songs this time! :o Although that's partly because I actually know them for once.

If I were on X Factor this week, for guilty pleasures I'd probably do With Every Heartbeat by Robyn, and for my Hero's song, I'd probably do 21 Questions by 50 Cent.
