Back in March when BuzzJack celebrated its 5th anniversary, there were a trio of competitions that ran across the site. For Christmas, there are another two, one will be ran in the Lounge nearer to the date and one in the chart forum which will start today.

There are four more weeks until the Christmas charts are revealed on Christmas Day itself, so the competition is to predict the chart runs for the next four weeks for each of the following 10 albums, all of which have been picked from the top 20 of this weeks chart.

Florence + The Machine - Ceremonials

JLS - Jukebox

Kate Bush - 50 Words For Snow

Lady Gaga - Born This Way

Nickelback - Here And Now

Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds - Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds

Rihanna - Talk That Talk

Snow Patrol - Fallen Empires

Susan Boyle - Someone To Watch Over Me

Westlife - Greatest Hits

TIEBREAK Questions:

1) Predict how many Christmas songs will be in the Christmas singles top 75?*

2) What position will the highest Christmas song be in?

*note: a Christmas song will be defined as anything that is in the chart purely because of Christmas, so songs like 'Stay Another Day' will be classed as a Christmas song.

You must lay out your prediction like the following example:

Florence + The Machine - Ceremonials 05-10-15-20

starting with next weeks chart first, and the Xmas chart position as the last one. All predictions must be PM'd to myself.

Prizes

The prizes will once again be iTunes vouchers. Because of the way iTunes works Phil had a problem getting multiple vouchers bought last time there was a competition, this was something that none of us in BuzzJack management were aware of and as a result it took a while to get the prizes to the winners. However now that we are aware of this there should not be any issue with getting the vouchers to the winners e-mail addresses by the end of the year! Vouchers have been chosen once more as it allows our members from outside the UK to play, and vouchers can be issued for iTunes stores in the country the member lives in.

1st place - £50

2nd place - £25

3rd place - £15

Scoring

For every position you are out for each album each week (whether higher or lower) you will score 1 point, and the member who amasses the LOWEST amount of points will win.

e.g. if you predict an album to be #1 for each of the next four weeks and it ends up #2 each week, you will score 1 point every week.

You have until 12:00 UK time next Sunday 4th December to enter, however as an incentive to predict earlier, anyone who sends their predictions BEFORE the 10:00 on Tuesday morning (29th November - i.e. before the midweeks are available) your scores will be reduced by 15%, so it's entirely up to you whether you wait to see where albums are likely to chart next week to make predictions easier, but with the risk of a higher score.

To be allowed to enter, you must have made at least 15 posts on BuzzJack at the time of sending me your predictions.

Any questions please feel free to ask and I shall try my best to respond quickly.

Good luck and Merry Christmas,

RabbitFurCoat and the rest of BuzzJack Management :D

I forgot to add:

Only top 100 positions will be included, if you think an album will fall out of the top 100 completely, just use 101. If any album does fall out, the position #101 will be counted.

And BONUS Question:

1) Predict how many Christmas songs will be in the Christmas singles top 75?*

2) What position will the highest Christmas song be in?

I'll be sending my predictions tomorrow. :D Think I did quite well last time, around 5th or 6th if I remember right so hoping this one fairs even better.
I've entered, shame not many people seem to be playing. How many people have entered so far? :o
I'll have a go, I won prizes in two of the three BJ b'day competitions but this looks way harder! Neverthless, I'll give it a go!

It is quite hard, but three people will still have to win! A few have predicted so far, there's quite a variety of predictions so far....

13 and a bit hours to get predictions in and lose part of your total!

I've sent my answers, bit of a risky strategy doing it before tomorrow's mids but at least I won't be subject to a deduction!
ARGH. Why is the Christmas market so hard to predict sometimes. Most is just guesswork and I couldn't use the same logic I did last time. Sent my answers now, doubt the mids would help really and I'd rather have my score lowered, have a feeling that could make all the difference.
I've just sent you my entry, as I'm sure I'll need the 15% discount! I'm already regretting some of my choices... Fun though, so thanks.

We were thinking of basing it just on the top ten but we decided that would be too easy :D

Interesting... I shall make my attempt now! A try is a try and if I do succeed, there's prizes waiting ;)

Mark (that is your name, right) :D

Is it possible you could send my answers back to me, so I can see how I'm doing :)
