I don't think they'd need a new video. The one they have now is decent enough. (Especially because of where it's filmed :P)

'Up' or 'Higher' should be the first single IF they TRIED to break America. 'Up' was what established them in the UK and made them well known, plus the video is sort of iconic and the coloured tights thing really stood out here BUT 'Higher' has the perfect introduction with the names of the girls being announced (which would really help them in a new country) and has a popular rapper featured.

 

No doubt their label would probably release Missing You or Issues first, though. :rolleyes:

Molie King had an interview with the Sunday Mail and announced The Saturdays will be in LA for the next 3 weeks attempting to crack America. Very good news I think and hopefully this means they could afford more expensive songwriters. Dr Luke etc.

 

Ortise also announced The Saturdays are away to America as in an interview he announced Marvin & Rochelle will spend time away for a while and will miss Valnetines day because Rochelle and the girls will be in LA.

Wow. Calm down. 3 weeks to get everything sorted etc I assume and I am sure everyone else assumes this.

I'm sorry but why are they trying to crack America? They should be focusing on getting back on track here. 'On Your Radar' is a fantastic album, they just need to promote better. There should be another single out RIGHT NOW. I can't be doing with another Wordshaker/Headlines fiasco again.

Why do I get the feeling they'll record a new faux-hip track (with added pointless rapper, probably B.o.B. or Mac Miller rather than Nicki Minaj or Drake) to try and break America and end up flopping harder than JLS? -_-

 

I know they're doing awfully here right now, but I geniunely think they have a chance in America if they go with Higher. I mean they're hardly going to be the next Spice Girls or anything I know, but I think it could at least chart on the Hot 100 (even the lower half), which would be an achievement if they feel they simply MUST do this.

I do agree, Higher Feat Flo Rida MUST be released.

I hope they do a show in NYC so i can go see them, it'd be a dream come to true to actually get to see them in person! and yes Higher needs to be the lead single, its a strong pop song, and i could see it doing well over here.

They need a high profile TV appearance to make it work though!!

They need more than just TV appearances, they need to be prepared to travel all around the country and do as much interviews as they can as well. They need to make themselves known and create a presence and I just don't think The Sats have the work ethic to do that. :(

If what they've done in the past is anything to go by, it's probabbly for recording and/or meetings. You know how they like to milk it when they're over there. They where only meant to spend 2 days over there for the Notorious video shoot and ended up staying a week.

She's not allowed to fly past a certain date, so I highly doubt it.

The Way You Watch Me is finally growing on me a bit :lol: So I wouldn't really mind if it's the single, if they're actually going to BOTHER :drama:

I do like 'The Way You Watch Me', but it sounds really empty in some places. And putting it after one of the loudest tracks on the album isn't helping very much. I've really grown on 'Move On U' lately too, but I NEED 'Get Ready, Get Set' as the next single. If not, I'll be happy enough with Faster.

I remember a year or so ago the girls flew to Germany to meet a record company out there. And one of the girls posted a pic on twitter of the view from the offices of the record company.

And then absolutely nothing came of their trip to Germany.

So I am not expecting anything from this trip to LA yet. Will wait and see!
