 47. Hurt - Johnny Cash :w00t:

 90. Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) - Michael Bublé

There it is :P Bublé could get 4 top 100 hits off this album, IBTLALLC, HYAMLC and SCICTT could all be top 100 this week and this could also get there next week. Not too bad considering there hasn't been any official 'single' from this album per se, although I think 'Cold December Night' is getting airplay (which makes it odd that it's one of the lowest tracks from his album).

 123. Run - Leona Lewis

Is it just me or has Leona's version of 'Run' actually become more of a 'classic' in the UK than Bleeding Love now? It just feels that way even though BL's sales are higher. Different story in the US of course.

I think that may be the case Bre, Run always seems to shoot up, I mean it wasnt even top 200 before her performance, and they played the smallest clip, heading for top 100 probably. So pleased to see Spirit & Echo on the rise too on the iTunes album chart!

Yes. Both Leona and Johnny Cash's 'Hurt' in the top 40 officially next week please!

Michael Bublé is all the way back up to #76 with 'Cry Me A River' now - has this just shot up again purely because of his XF appearance or was it used somewhere? I still don't know why it was randomly back in the top 100 for a while yesterday.

But anyway, he now has 5 songs top 100. Massive :P

so first Paradise goes to number 1 and now Johnny Cash's Hurt is almost top 40???? *dies*

I haven't seen Leona's performance yet, but I've listened to the studio version and I can't say it was that keen - I heard little emotion and YOU CAN'T ADD A BLOODY KEY CHANGE TO THAT SONG!! :arrr:

its not quite as horrific as Alexandra's version of Hallelujah though, the start is better

Leona's live version of Hurt was quite good actually - I'm not looking forward to hearing the studio version though to be honest, based on Rooney's comments in the XF thread it's a lot more produced than her live performance. Hurt is a song that should be stripped back :( (Hallelujah is an apt comparison, a lot of my contempt for Alexandra is still because of her CRUCIFIXION of that song).

 44. Hurt - Johnny Cash

 66. This Year's Love - David Gray

 82. Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) - Michael Bublé

Unrelated:

 4. We Found Love (feat. Calvin Harris) - Rihanna

 13. Good Feeling - Flo Rida

This better knock Jessie back out of the top 10 tomorrow

I wish Leona's live version was available to download, stunning.

Cash now #43. Where did this chart originally?

Leona's performance wasnt good. The low notes at the beginning were barely there. The end was ok tho. She's good at the big belty notes.

Cash now #43. Where did this chart originally?

Originally #42, then re-peaked at #39 a couple of months after his death. (It originally charted just 4 months or so before he died).

It would be fantastic if it could re-peak again this week but I think it'll do what 'I'm With You' did, starting to plummet at the speed of light after about 2 or 3 days and being outside the top 100 again by the end of the week. Will be interesting to see where Leona's version charts.

Thanks Bre, you always know all the answers to my questions! Ledge :P
Anyone know what's happened to Leona's Christmas E.P which was supposed to be able to be downloaded at midnight..She tweeted yesterday that it would be available I'm guessing with a version of tonights AMAZING performance of Hurt.

Sorry, I don't think anyone else fully appreciates this.

Coldplay are number 1 with a single that doesn't feature Rihanna, was released around 3 months ago, and has sold pretty strongly since, AND it's after album by over a month.

Might wanna make a print screen folks, this is probably the last time you'll see Coldplay at number one on itunes.

I'm gonna listen to the big top 40 show, at any rate.

it's available to download now. it's called Hurts:The EP including "Hurts", "Iris" and "Colourblind". :)

Ahh found it! Why on earth doesn't it come up when you type in Leona..

I assumed that it would have a different title not simply 'Hurt'.

Why might it be the last time we ever see Coldplay at #1 on iTunes? Are they splitting up or something? :o

To be honest, for me at least, the surprising thing is just what type of song it is. It's not the sort of song that would typically get to #1 on iTunes in 2011 (same goes for T-Pain). :o

The chart success isn't really that amazing for me, just that it's happening to such an un-generic song for a change!

Apparently that happened with T-Pain and 5 O'clock last week (with it not coming up in the search). So they better get that fixed soon, because it could hurt the sales a lot.

That's what I mean. With the way music is heading now, it's unlikely we'll ever see a band like Coldplay at number one on the SINGLES chart again.

Billy Joel up to 161 after that fantastic performance by Gary Barlow and Marcus!

Very glad to see Paradise at number 1, it will build a lead tomorrow after the XF with over 15million people at least projected to tune in!! However I doubt it will last once the winner's single is released

I think you will find a fair few of do, so no need to apologise.

Well hardly any boost for the XF single, I'd be surprised to see it at number 1 tommorrow. Looks like Olly has climbed to number 1, 3 weeks after release. Fingers crossed, I'll be made up for him if he's done it. He really appreciates topping the charts.
