'Hurt' isn't a proper single, it's just something that she's put out to remind people she exists because her album has been pushed back to the new year for some reason. It's massively exceeded expectations just by going top 10, I never personally expected it to have a decent chart run. Possibly only 3 weeks top 100?

In 1 and a half hours Little Mix have gone up from 51.9% to 55.9% - and they're not increasing, it's just the sheer force of Military Wives decreasing. They seem to be selling barely anything past their pre-orders.

Completely unrelated:

69. Price Tag (feat. B.o.B) - Jessie J

84. Party Rock Anthem (feat. Lauren Bennet & GoonRock) - LMFAO

I hope Jessie stays ahead of them for a while. The last time she got a boost she was only ahead for about a day.

Military Wives have already exceeded the download expectations of most people so it's not too much of a worry to see them decreasing, the physical will still be mammoth, for this week at least. Come the week after xmas and Military Wives, Alex Day and Little Mix (and Nirvana, but they haven't even got anywhere close to challenging yet ) will all go into freefall and I guess Coldplay or Lloyd will be the first #1 of 2011?

As much as I do love Wherever You Are, I'm glad that it doesn't look like selling 700k in a couple of weeks because the year to date top ten right now is the perfect representation of the year's biggest and most enduring hits and it would be a shame to lose On The Floor or The A Team from it at the last minute. Cannonball's got no chance of going anywhere near the YTD top ten, possibly not even the top twenty :o

I listened to that Military Wives wife song and I couldn't go on after 20 seconds. :| but it is for a good cause and I suppose there could be worse, couldn't there?...

What's worse is that these abominations will be stuck with us for years. They still play X factor songs as part of christmas countdowns on Music TV, they have no relevance to christmas.

Guys don't diss it.

It's a charity single...they arn't supposed to be the best singers in the world their only the wives of the soldiers... ;)

Which is how they peddle this crap. I bet that if any of us dissed this in public we'd be called bad people because of the emotional manipulation involved. Its immune to criticism

I think Military Wives and Little Mix will hold on to the top 2 for another week after Christmas with their physical sales (Alex Day will plummet though) but the week after we'll see Coldplay or Lloyd taking over, or maybe Taio Cruz but I can't see 'Troublemaker' being a #1, more like low top 10.

If the Military Wives abomination sells 700k+ and knocks Ed Sheeran out of the year-end top 10 I'm officially going to LEAVE THE COUNTRY :drama:

Actually, The A Team might overtake JLo - it should sell maybe 6-7k for today's and next Sunday's charts and get a strong gift card boost the following week which might take it past JLo (it's currently 13k behind but of course JLo will sell in the last 3 weeks too). Still, if Military Wives make the year-end top 10...

Alex has 3 new versions coming out tomorrow too.

He should release more versions every day of this week to maximise sales.

Alex Day's fanbase must be either incredibly loyal or loaded to want to download so many different versions of the same song!

@Bray - I can see The A Team overtaking On The Floor in the final week of the year so it's J.Lo most at risk imo, I really don't want her to end up outside the end of year top ten, it was by far my favourite song of the first half of 2011 :(

Argh, my foster dad (who was in the army) just bought Military Wives Choir because it's 'close to his heart' (fair enough, it is) and now he's playing it full blast which is making me dislike it more :(

And he's usually into 80s rock and stuff like that :drama:

Will he still be playing it come 2012? I doubt it somehow :P

Probably not no

And this is what gets me about the whole thing, people buying it when they don't even like the music. I can bet he doesn't, probably he was just playing it to get his money's worth from it

Looking on kworb and adding up the versions of Forever Yours... its at about 90% of Number 1

Should hopefully have a shot at the Christmas #1 on the download chart then. (What a pointless achievement!)

Probably not no

Do you still listen to everything you bought last year? Or the year before that?

I do really like it, it's not something I'll listen to all the time, but maybe on a quiet sunday night by the fire it might get a spin, but then I listen to jazz and celtic stuff - not just whats naturally in the charts

I'm wondering if Alex Day's sales will even hold up much past today. The bulk of his Youtube fanbase will have bought it today I guess and it's hard to see who's left after that...

A xmas week top five will be a great achievement regardless though.

I wouldn't be surprised to see it hanging about for a couple of days - I mean people may look at it in WTF is this, listen to the preview and download it.

The fact that there are so many versions charting is probably going to gain it a certain level of interest from people

I have no complaints if Alex Day starts plummeting. Coldplay will be Christmas #3 if he does :D

It wouldn't surprise me if Military Wives and Little Mix get another week in the top 2 to be honest but I'd say its a good chance Lloyd or/and Coldplay could make #1 in early January. It actually wouldn't surprise me if both made it at some point, simply because the labels don't seem to be taking advantage of January (where are all the big January releases?). There really isn't much out in early January AT ALL (not sure why Taio isn't releasing Hangover, think it had a decent shot while Troublemaker doesn't IMO).

I can see both David Guetta (Titanium) and Rihanna (You Da One) going top 5 too (at least) in early January, their videos are out in the next week or so.
