Who would've thought in January that this year we'd have a Christmas top 10 full of Avicii, a girl-group who won the XF, Lloyd, an Italian novelty track from ages ago and a charity single at #1 instead of the XF winner?

Sums up 2011 really. The year of shocks, surprises and flopstars becoming successful popstars (J.Lo, Nicole Scherzinger, Christina A, Maroon 5, Lloyd etc).

Btw, when is Beyonce's 'Dance For You' released? It's not on her album as far as I'm aware but it is on all the time on the music channels.

The Wanted are climbing quicker now - up to 35, with the cd on sale on 1st Jan it could go top 20!

It's on the deluxe edition, I'm not sure if it's on iTunes but I got it from HMV. It might be a CD only thing, I'm not sure.

Will Young's album went platinum, and the lead single went top 10. Just like the last time. Except he didn't follow it with another top 40.

Woo! Up made 59p, get in that top 40 already! Its not as good as Broken Strings but deserves a top 40 placing at least. to #44

Very good move for Wanted, should go top 40 now when it looked like it would miss it (like JLS right now :o)

It's on the deluxe edition of the album, but it's not getting a single release, as far as I'm aware. The video is part of an anthology on her latest Live at Roseland DVD.

What other Wanted single missed the Top 20?

None, Lose My Mind got to 17/18 iirc and is to date their lowest peaking single.

If the commercial radio stations had got behind it as they did with Jealousy it would have probably made top 20. Without R2's support it would have had virtually no airplay at all. Although James Morrison's had full support from all radio stations including Capital and R1 plus the added bonus of Jessie J featuring on it and still didn't manage top 40 (or did he just scrape in  ) so you never can tell I suppose.

Very pleased at how Echoes has performed...platinum+ sales and only once outside the top 30. Not bad for his 5th studio album :)

All the top-3 is in massive decline, Coldplay are about to overtake Little Mix. The biggest faller is Lou Monte though, down from 0.7 to 0.63 in two hours, and that's with Military Waves declining sharply too.

He went top 5 actually and for the first time since January 2005 when he charted at #10 with Changes, which had total sales of only 81k, Jealousy has sold 250k+ and is still selling, seeing as this is from his 6th platinum selling album in a row 10 years on, I'd say that's cause for celebrating. :cheer:

96. Timbaland - Apoligise

One Direction at #24 in the chart update - with the 59p reduction and decline of Christmas songs, I see this hanging around for quite some time; which is probably for the best, seeing as how poorly 'Gotta Be You' did.
can someone tell me where get back asap is please :)

#71 right now.

thanks and NOOOOOOOOOOO its falling

I think it will climb after Christmas when all the xmas songs will fall. ;)
