Beyoncé kicks starts the top 70 with a song that suffered from over exposure! 'The Best Thing I Never Had' is very good, but it doesn't seem to have the lasting appeal that her former hits have for me. Getter Jaani's entry into Eurovision this year with 'Rockefeller Street' is at #62. It really should have done better than it actually did. Such a shame to see such a good song in the bottom 5 (probably the very bottom, I can't remember)! Xanaga's BJSC entry 'Dancing Tonight' by Kat DeLuna is up next. Another song I don't seem to recall loving so much until I play it! Amazing song. Looking back it should be higher. Rihanna's last single from 'Loud' stalls at #64. Whilst Britney's lowest entry into this years EOY countdown comes in at a rubbish (by Britney standards!) #65. 'Criminal' was great to begin with, but I was going off of it the more I heard it. I prefer the single version though, but that did little to reignite my first love for it! Chipmunk teams up with QOL Keri Hilson for his floptastic single 'In the Air', which is next. The winner of Eurovision, Azerbaijan's Ell & Nicki are at #67 in my EOY chart. It's a nice song, just a little, bland (?) to win the contest. But fair play to them. Nice to see something different win. Pro Green's most recent hit and UK number 1 single, 'Read All About It' is at 68, whilst Nicki Minaj's next entry comes in the form of 'Fly' at #69. Jennifer Lopez's second of 3 entries in this countdown finishes up this section. 'On the Floor' was a grower but as soon as it peaked on me, I got bored of it pretty quickly thanks to the overplay of it. I'm failing to get that back into it at the moment. But it's still a decent enough song.

Rob and Jonjo you guys need to chage your font colour :lol:

Getting better Jonjo Taft :P

JONATHON. CRIMINALLY LOW FOR ON THE FLOOR!

I'm also pretty shocked at how low Future History is on your albums list, given his debut was your #1 album of the year..

Ooh, The Last Time made it in as well :wub: I agree that it's better than Psycho, which finished 15th in my EOY 2010 chart...

Running Scared was indeed a nice enough song but so lacklustre for a winner, especially when Popular got so close :( Lets not even mention that jury worshipped mess that finished second...either way, Popular is the only one of those three to come anywhere near my EOY top 100. To think that last year's ESC winner was my #1 of 2010!

Ro Danieshi :heart: Amazing album!

060. Bad Meets Evil feat. Bruno Mars - Lighters [3-4-8-15-28-38-X(4)-29-22-20-28] - 10 Weeks

In this section we have Yasmin's debut single, which I was convinced would be a bigger hit than it actually ended up being! Olly Murs' 4th and final single from his debut album is at #52. Great song. Will Young's shockingly good comeback single 'Jealousy' enters at #53. Easily the best thing I have heard from him. Leona Lewis' cover of a soft rock classic continues. With recently released 'Hurt' debuting at #54 in the EOY chart, despite being just over a week old. (At the time I compiled this countdown :P). Parade's extremely underrated single, 'Perfume' is at #55. I thought these girls had potential, but they've been dropped and I am yet to listen to their album. Yasmin's second and slightly more successful single, 'Finish Line' is next in the list. Leona also has a second entry in this section. Her comeback single 'Collide' enters at #57 after being great to start with, but once I started to lose interest, I started to lose interest rapidly. 'Where Them Girls At?' is at #58. I have a very love/hate relationship with this song. I love it most the time, but other times I can't bear to listen to it. Queen of 2011 collaborations, Skylar Grey, gets another entry in my EOY countdown, this time featuring on Diddy's latest projects "Diddy - Dirty Money" single 'Coming Home'. Bad Meets Evil falls at #60 and rounds off the top 60 section. This won't be the last time you see Bruno in this countdown.

Another nice section, although don't bother listening to Parade's album, it's crap - Louder and Perfume are by far the best things on it. Lovely to see the two Yasmin singles there, On My Own ended up at #51 in mine too :lol: By the way, a studio version of Part II of Coming Home has leaked, it's gorgeous as was expected;

Hey Jon from here I like :D

Now into the top 50 Singles of 2011!

050. Chris Brown (feat. Justin Bieber) || 'Next To You'

My Personal Chart Run: [17-9-5-4-7-13-21-25-29-34] (10 Weeks)

This song was a big grower. It took for it's release to peak in my chart, but it was always the standout for me on Chris' disappointing, new album. Justin Bieber fits well within the song and they work really well together. Nice, catchy song which shows Chris' softer side.

049. Demi Lovato || 'Skyscraper'

My Personal Chart Run: [5-3-8-19-29-34-X(6)-24-30-37] (09 Weeks)

Former Disney star, Demi Lovato, comes back with the beautifully, stunning 'Skyscraper'. That piano backing is beautifully haunting and her vocals are quite raspy and gives the song some much needed authenticity to it. Her vocals are perfect on it. Damn her company for not giving this a proper UK release! 'Jar Of Hearts' for 2012 PLEASE!!

048. blink-182 || 'Up All Night'

My Personal Chart Run: [4-3-8-14-18-23-19-17-16-25-28-40] (12 Weeks)

blink-182 returned to the music scene this year with a highly anticipated new single and album. This was the comeback single. It's rather excellent, although, come to think of it now, I think 'After Midnight' may have been a better choice for 1st single. But anyway, it's nice to have a new album from them, finally and a new tour here in July! Yay.

047. Olly Murs (feat. Rizzle Kicks) || 'Heart Skips A Beat'

My Personal Chart Run: [17-14-10-9-16-15-16-23-29-39] (10 Weeks)

At #47 we have Olly Murs' lead single, from second album 'In Case You Didn't Know'. 'Heart Skips A Beat' features 'Down With the Trumpets' stars, Rizzle Kicks, who seem to have been on a steady rise to success with each passing month! I've always liked HSAB, just haven't loved it quite as much as other stuff by him. That was until I heard his album, where it grew on me again.

---

046. Bruno Mars || 'The Lazy Song'

My Personal Chart Run: [13-6-3-7-15-22-28-35-37] (09 Weeks)

Bruno Mars' 3rd single 'The Lazy Song' stormed to number 1 in the UK charts, soon after the premiere of the incredible and unique video! This song really wasn't "all that" (although still a decent highlight from his album) up until the video's release. A lot of fans weren't happy with the single choice at the time and were crying for a 'Marry You' or 'Talking To the Moon' release. It seemed anything other than them 2 looked likely to be a disaster for him, but it shocked and became a genuinely big airplay hit. The added whistles are also a pleasing edit. I can't listen to the song without them now.

045. The Saturdays || 'Notorious'

My Personal Chart Run: [2-4-13-20-23-29-34] (07 Weeks)

After coming back from the floptastic 'Wordshaker' era, with a successful mini album 'Headlines', The Saturdays decided it was time to move onto another new era and comeback with a new sound! 'Notorious' was incredible to start with, until about 20 listens later then it waned, QUICKLY. However, I have recently got back into this track since having the album! It's strangely, re-growing.

---

044. Nicole Scherzinger || 'Wet'

My Personal Chart Run: [25-19-17-21-16-9-26-33] (09 Weeks)

When she isn't making little children's dreams shatter and making them cry, hysterically. Nicole Scherzinger likes to make some decent, quality pop songs. This is no exception. Taken from her long delayed and little anticipated debut album, 'Killer Love', 'Wet' shows that Nicole can do the Guetta sound just as well as Guetta, himself can.

---

043. Glee Cast || 'Light Up the World'

My Personal Chart Run: [28-27-6-10-4-4-16-31-40] (09 Weeks)

Up next we have Glee Cast and the first of 4, original songs to make my EOY coutdown. 'Light Up the World' is essentially 'Loser Like Me', just not as good, although still good enough to feature in the top half of my EOY countdown. It has been outdone by Glee's own 'Rumour Has It'/'Someone Like You' mash-up from this season though. But seeing as I am against charting Glee songs, unless they're originals and were released to radio and music channels to help promote the show ('Don't Stop Believein'') it won't feature. But this is another decent attempt at an original songs and shows that Glee can get it right, even with their own material.

---

042. Jessie J || 'Who You Are'

My Personal Chart Run: [21-22-33-X(11)-23-16-28-39-X(26)-28-21-12-8-2-12-19-40] (10 Weeks)

Next we have a song by Jessie J that was always destined to be a hit, no matter when it was released. But surprisingly it took a while to properly take off in the UK charts. It took, a tour, the video premiere, an album re-release and 3 UK X Factor performances for it to get momentum. It didn't peak until the week after she performed it herself on XF though, after Misha B was thrown off, which boosted it to a respectful top 10 placing, IIRC! Still a great song, just not one of my personal Jessie favourites.

---

041. Olly Murs || 'Dance With Me Tonight'

My Personal Chart Run: [29-24-13-9-6-8-2-10] (08 Weeks - Still Charting)

Just missing out on a top 40 position is Olly's latest single, 'Dance With Me Tonight'. It's unlucky to be so low as it is actually still growing on me a little and it's definitely among my favourite tracks of his, if not my favourite. Although he did drop from 2 to 10, he will stabilise a little better now The Sats tour effect and Christmas period is over.

Poor Olly :(

Like Next To You, Up All Night, Lazy Song, Heart Skips A Beat, Wet, Notorious & Dance With Me Tonight Jon. Looking forward to the top 40 :)

040. The Saturdays || 'All Fired Up'

My Personal Chart Run: [5-5-1-3-6-11-15-15-19-26-28-34-40] (13 Weeks)

The Saturdays second single from the new era, 'All Fired Up' scored them a 3rd number 1 in my chart. Although it's a faceless and generic dance/pop song, it still has a certain appeal to it. The fact it contains about 6 lines repeated is probably what makes it appealing, oddly enough. The Saturdays have one more entry to come later!

---

039. Katy Perry || 'E.T.'

My Personal Chart Run: [24-31-X-31-25-14-17-24-36-X(6)-32-27-6-9-16-25-37] (15 Weeks)

Katy Perry gets her 2nd of 3 entries into this years EOY chart. 4th single, 'E.T.' was always one of my personal highlights from the album, so to hear it was announced as a single, was amazing to see. The fact she had a fantastic video helped it's success, but it deserved success on it's own merit. As I said at the start of this paragraph, she has one more entry still to come.

---

038. Jennifer Lopez || 'Papi'

My Personal Chart Run: [6-13-11-24-X(18)-22-13-11-10-17-34] (10 Weeks)

At number 38 is the fantastic single, 'Papi' by Jennifer Lopez. It's always been one of the better songs from 'Love?'. It has a strange latino backing, whilst keeping it relevant and now. Those drums that go hard after the intro are mesmerizing. Shame it's gone on to be the underrated hit from the album. It deserved at least similar success to 'I'm Into You'.

---

037. JoJo || 'The Other Chick'

My Personal Chart Run: [17-5-3-3-6-12-20-28-39] (09 Weeks)

At #37 is quite possibly the unluckiest girl in the business! Poor BRAVE JoJo. This song truly deserved to be a worldwide smash! If only her label would get their finger out and actually do something with her! 'Disaster' (how APT!) has been handled disastrously. No official release anywhere, bar a sloppy straight to iTunes/no radio adds release in the US. 'The Other Chick' is a buzz single, so it was allowed to be a flop, but if it's this amazing, then imagine how good her album should be!

---

036. Little Mix || 'Cannonball'

My Personal Chart Run: [1] (01 Week - Still Charting)

The newest and most recent song in the countdown comes from X Factor 2011 winners, Little Mix. Always been a fan of Little Mix and I am incredibly proud and pleased they went on to win the X Factor. About time we had a new big girl group that could rival Girls Aloud. This was compiled when this song was just a little under 2 weeks old, and I do not regret putting it this high. I still love it just as much.
