Martin, The OCC told me, (this morning), that they only ever get Data sent to them

on Tuesday's, Wednesday's, Thursday's, & Friday's. With the end of Week Charts sent in on

a Sunday morning.

There won't be a Christmas Eve/Saturday up-date.

The Christmas No.1, (Military Wives, of course), will be announced at 3pm on Christmas Day/Sunday.

So Reggie will have gone into work on Xmas day for nothing - he'll have nothing interesting left to announce by the end of the show...

Is he doing it live? I would have thought they could pre-record it on Christmas Eve.

How could he pre-record it on Christmas Eve when the sales week wouldn't have finished at that point?

I take it there won't be a chart show on Christmas day and the chart will instead be published at some point during the afternoon/evening?

Apart from the 39 other songs in the top 40...

Woah at the huge sales already this week for both singles and albums :o

The 'huge sales' only really applies to the top 2 or 3 singles, though...

Still, it was more than I was honestly expecting for Little Mix and for Military Wives tbh.

Incredible rise in sales for the MW since yesterdays update. Haha at nirvana campaign failing. Didnt even pick higher than the original

Smells Like Teen Spirit deserves higher than #7 so sad to see it not re-peaking.

Rihanna's album is doing better than I had thought it might. Last year she has 90370917 performances on the X factor and 2 singles smashing. This year she has been busy touring and YD1 has yet to catch light (though i think it will be easily top 10). 700k by the end of the year is great and Loud is still selling well.

120k for Little Mix please this week!

while i agree entirely with that. It didnt need a campaign to get it higher.

It wouldn't have done it spontaneously

09 Nirvanna

10 Avicii

11 Rihanna / Calvin Harris

12 Rizzle Kicks

^ Hard to tell how this will change by Sunday - RK are obviously doing better on iTunes at the moment, but combined Rihanna sales may have them stuck at #12 (or #11 if Avicii, Rihanna and themselves can all surpass Nirvana's sales).

I'm most in shock at Alex Day still at #4 - the 10+ versions floating around the top 100 on Sunday must really have put him in a good position for the rest of the week. Incredible to see Rebecca Ferguson at #7 still too - it's already achieved 'platinum' status - could she follow in Olly's footsteps and achieve a 2 x platinum album - and all on one single alone?

Apparently the Military Wives Choir sold 900 copies of their CD single in Plymouth HMV alone after a public appearance today (of course 1/3 of them are stationed in Plymouth)

For anyone that's interested last year Xmas mid topic, its only 9 pages long, beaten it by 5 pages :D, I think the Rage vs. Cowell (2009) probably hit around 18 pages in the end.
