I see my top pointers failed (I gave my 7 to Monarchy and 5 to The DNC, but I wasn't expecting anything from them).

Just got in, how on EARTH did Strawberry Shake qualify :o :o :o I always personally thought that it deserved far better than 12th...I would as I'm biased but it's such a punchy Katy Perry-esque pop song with a strong and melodic chorus but perhaps there was a dearth of pure pop voters that month...

Personally I think 'Strawberry Shake' got through because those who most likely voted for the song in that months contest were the same people who voted in TBO.

 

If more people voted, there'd be a much more different looking set of results. :(

Crikey! I come back and both my entries so far have qualified! And there was me thinking that forgetting to vote would ruin my chances. :o

 

Watch The World Go By was the only one I really wanted to qualify so I'm chuffed it made it (although I'd love either Patrique or Astrid to make it, not so fussed about Human Life even though it's already through!)

It looks to me from the comments left in the thread that quite a few of the people that voted for Strawberry Shake here didn't actually take part in XXXIII and have voted for it for the first time during this.
