Most of the re-entries were on the End of Year chart show on Radio One. The rest are party songs for New Year

I think the Steps-esque Mariah Carey version of Auld Lang Syne should be top 40 -_- It's so bad it's good!

does anyone even know the words... :kink:

Who the hell is Gay Gordon and Auld Lang Syne is 34

A happy new year novelty track?

Weird to see T-Pain's '5 O'clock' and Lady Gaga's 'Marry the Night' both climbing a good 6-10 places over the past few days, I thought they'd drop out of the top 40; the latter in particular definitely under-performed - despite high profile performances, it didn't make the top 10.

Ergh, Maroon 5 are going to go top 10 again aren't they <_< They've closed the gap really quickly. I really hope the new releases tomorrow do well

Meh, I was expecting it to go top 10 again anyway, so I'm not really too annoyed - but I expected it to happen a week ago

Auld Lang Syne update:

22. Auld Lang Syne - Gay Gordon

36. Auld Lang Syne - The New London Chorale

81. Auld Lang Syne - Auld Lang Syne

150. Old Lang Syne - Kenny Lynch & Jimy Tarbuck

168. Auld Lang Syne - Red Hot Chilli Pipers

176. Auld Lang Syne - The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards

194. Auld Lang Syne - Tony Evans

227. Auld Lang Syne - The Original Burns Brothers

265. Auld Lang Syne, New Year Celebration Songs - Old Lang Syne Academy

Does anyone know who or what this Gay Gordon is? Google brings up nothing but his/her/its version always seems to be the highest every New Year.

3. LMFAO 'Sexy and I Know It'

4. Rizzle Kicks 'Mama Do the Hump'

^ LMFAO could well re-peak in the new year with this single, it reached #5 in November.

10. Maroon 5 - Moves Like Jagger

11. Little Mix - Cannonball

27. Jls - Do You Feel What I Feel & #86

45. Pixie Lott - All About Tonight (Delighted how this has performed)

72. Aloe Blacc - I Need A Dollar (Why Cant you just disappear please)

477. Pixie Lott - Kiss The Stars

300. Jay Sean - 2012

93. Black Eyes Peas - I Gotta Feeling

Beyonce is dominating iTunes.

14. Beyonce - Love On Top (Wow this really does need a new peak. At least it will outsell Countdown)

42. Beyonce - Best Thing I Never Had

80. Beyonce - Countdown

120. Beyonce - Run The World (Girls)

142. Beyonce - Single Ladies

243. Beyonce - End Of Time (Wow, for no radio support etc)

270. Beyonce - 1+1

280. Beyonce & Lady Gaga - Telephone

330. Beyocne - Irreplaceable

400. Beyonce - I Was Here

403. Beyonce - If I Was A Boy

420. Beyonce - Halo

430. Beyonce & Jay Z - Crazy In Love

813. Beyonce - Party

926. Beyonce - Sweet Dreams

990. Beyonce - De Ja Vu

^ End of Time has a fair bit of radio support tbh, as does Party. I think I Was Here is the most impressive, because I've never heard it on the radio before, and it doesn't have a video like 1+1 does. I guess it's selling mainly on word of mouth (or some stations I never listen to play it sometimes).

Good to see Deja Vu in the top 1000. I think it goes quite forgotten sometimes, in comparison to her other songs, but it's one of my favourites from her.

78. Home Again - Michael Kiwanuka

86. Do You Feel What I Feel? - JLS

164. Somebody That I Used to Know (feat. Kimbra) - Gotye

EPs on Albums Chart

73. Troublemaker (Remixes) - EP - Taio Cruz

95. Hold On - Skepta

374. Leave It - EP - Bombay Bicycle Club

Oh I thought Gotye was being held back? :(
Who the hell is Gay Gordon and Auld Lang Syne is 34
