December 29, 201113 yr Hey Rich :D heres what I like, loads I don't know this week :( Hope you have a great new year! 2. Military Wives with Gareth Malone - Wherever You Are (1) (CR-37-1-1-2) 8. Lana Del Rey - Born To Die (8) (CR-34-22-8-8) 9. Rihanna feat Calvin Harris - We Found Love (6) (CR-21-4-3-4-7-5-2-3-5-1-1-1-4-6-9) 11. December 29, 201113 yr Hello and Happy New Year Richy Rich!!! :D 1. Gotye feat Kimbra - Somebody That I Used To Know (2) (CR-60-48-44-39-OUT-27-19-13-9-2-1) It made it!!! :o I really wasn't sure if Gotye had what it took to top your chart after last weeks 09-02 climb. Great to see the track #1 for you. UK #1 next would be excellent. How many weeks ago did the track enter your chart? I'm guessing it would've been off the back of BJSC? It's been in my chart 16 weeks so must be a good 4 months ago. :D 2. Military Wives with Gareth Malone - Wherever You Are (1) (CR-37-1-1-2) I read the midweeks earlier - I'm surprised it's #3 in the midweeks. After selling 555k last week, I didn't expect the sales to dramatically plummet this badly. :o Then again, it's been mentioned that Lou Monte is #29 in the midweeks selling 12k. Looks like the entire top 40 this week are likely to sell over 10k... 6. Coldplay - Paradise (3) (CR-20-30-40-OUT-10-3-6) ...which is excellent news for Coldplay. As this is #1 it could looking set for its best weekly sales tally yet. Would actually be incredible if this can top 100k by Sunday. Who would've expected this a few weeks back? 8. Lana Del Rey - Born To Die (8) (CR-34-22-8-8) It's probably too early to predict but I think Lana Del Rey could a be a serious contender for the title of "Most Successful Artist 2012" with regards to my personal chart. I still think 'Video Games' is incredible and 'Born To Die' looks set to go the same way for me - minus the whole BJSC discovery element. :P 10. Cover Drive - Twilight (10) (CR-10-10) I can't believe there is a split second in the video that shows a shop sign saying "Batidos". If only it was spelt "Batidas", that would've been a genuine " :o + " combo moment. Mind you, I think I'd be even more gobsmacked if I was watching a music video and the word "Kylienips" appeared on screen. :D 14. Rizzle Kicks - Mama Do The Hump (37) (CR-39-37-14) What a climb. I guess it's been steadily growing on you over the last week. It's bound to climb into my top 10 this weekend for my final top 40 of 2011. I don't even think my final chart will include any new entries - most likely going to be my current top 40 in a different order. We shall see... :o 21. Little Mix - Cannonball (7) (CR-3-7-21) Wow, I know others have commented on this dropping quite sharply. Is it a case of "really strong top 20" or are you just going off the song completely now? 22. Lana Del Rey - Off To The Races (22) (CR-22-22) I decided to download this off iTunes as it's the Free Single of The Week (I'm clearly a tight ass when it comes to actually spending money :P ). It didn't quite on first listen but upon second listen it started to make more sense. I'm now even more interested in what Lana's debut album is going to be like. I think what's most exciting about Lana in 2012 is that there is no other female artist around like Lana. Not least who sounds like Lana - sure there's comparisons to Florence & The Machine (musically) but not since Lady GaGa has there been so much buzz surounding a new artist. I think 2012 will prove that electronic pop circa 2009 is no longer flavour of the month. 27. David Guetta feat Sia - Titanium (33) (CR-4-1-2-3-7-12-18-23-29-32-29-39-OUT-33-27) Rebounding in your chart too? :D 'Titanium' has held up fantastically in my chart and last week the track reclimbed 31-26 overtaking 'Without You'. Could this track take advantage of my final weekly of 2011 and sneak back inside the top 20? :o 31. Jessie J - Domino (39) (CR-54-44-46-OUT-39-31) Looks like this might be a fair sized hit after all. I picked up on this when the deluxe edition of Jessie J's album was released and saw 'Domino' floating between 180-200 on iTunes. It's certainly picked up pace on iTunes over the last 7 days. 34. Charli XCX - Nuclear Seasons (NEW) (CR-34) Brilliant to see Charli XCX entering. I guess this track has grown on you a little bit too. I remember you saying you didn't really like the song that much during BJSC. As you can tell from my personal chart, with a chart run of 14-09-06-06-02-01, I can hardly describe it was an instant song. Maybe it'll top your personal chart in 4 months et la Gotye style? :D 37. Madonna - Masterpiece (38) (CR-38-37) Not heard this but it's Madonna, I'm bound to be intrigued. :D It's the thought of Madonna quickly learning from 'Hard Candy' that if she wants this next era to be successful, she needs the album/singles to back it up. Working with William Orbit it's probably too much to ask for 'Ray Of Light Pt II' but I do hope whatever the official lead single is, it'll be a brilliant introduction to the next album.
December 29, 201113 yr Hey Rich ^_^ 1. Gotye feat Kimbra - Somebody That I Used To Know (2) (CR-60-48-44-39-OUT-27-19-13-9-2-1) I'm compiling my new chart tomorrow and it may just be a snap position again! :o 3. Agreed that Gotye needs to be huge! :D Surprisingly Toca Me isn't a cover of the Fragma song, which is what I was expecting too! It's quite similar to Ti Amo musically... I'm already getting a bit bored of Cannonball :( Hi Rich, happy new year? :kink: I like: 1. Gotye feat Kimbra - Somebody That I Used To Know (2) (CR-60-48-44-39-OUT-27-19-13-9-2-1) :cheer: (Re-entering my chart this week, but will be a big climber next) 2. (NEW) (CR-28) (charting Montreal instead of this, good though) 29. Chisu - Kohtalon Oma (NEW) (CR-29) (nearly sent Sabotage to BJSCXL) 30. Takida - You Learn (NEW) (CR-30) (was hoping for a dance cover of Alanis Morissette, but good enough :kink:) 31. Jessie J - Domino (39) (CR-54-44-46-OUT-39-31) 32. Adam Lambert - Better Than I Know Myself (40) (CR-40-38) Great chart :D Thanks Tom - did you leave Military Wives in by mistake? :o Yep, I've seen the Titanium video, impressive for him - an actual story which doesn't involve himself DJ'ing, women and a club  I downloaded Chisu's new album with my iTunes gift card, it's decent although this is a highlight. You Learn is surprisingly decent, I always find two or three great new songs on these Absolute Music compilations! Not sure about Sunday Girl, I think Love U More is already coming out, this song (a Pixie's cover) is already on iTunes :o Hi Rich... Happy new year. 1. Gotye feat Kimbra - Somebody That I Used To Know (2) (CR-60-48-44-39-OUT-27-19-13-9-2-1) 3. Hilltop Hoods feat Sia - I Love It (4) (CR-5-2-4-3) 5. Snakadaktal - Air (9) (CR-34-9-5) 6. Charli XCX - Nuclear Seasons (NEW) (CR-34) 37. Madonna - Masterpiece (38) (CR-38-37) Thanks Martin, I never thought I'd hear Sia go generic club but it really works :o Happy new year! Hey Rich :D heres what I like, loads I don't know this week :( Hope you have a great new year! Jessie J - Domino (39) (CR-54-44-46-OUT-39-31) Thanks Simon, it is getting a little obscure recently :drama: Happy new year to you too! Hello and Happy New Year Richy Rich!!! Thanks Hits! 1. Yes it did! Taking advantage of a fairly quiet week to nab that #1 spot, but how long can it stay there? :o It's STILL growing, even at #1! I doubt it would enter the UK charts at #1 a la Price Tag but I'm sure it will be a slow burner. Being such a grower for everyone, it's only fair that it climbs up the charts slowly :P Actually it entered my chart a few weeks before BJSC having heard it in the Australian chart (hence it wasn't a 'discovery' when you sent it, like Agnes Obel was for example). It left for months and then returned for what was to be a far more sucessful second run. All of the best songs flop in my chart before becoming hits, just look at Moves Like Jagger  3. I'm slightly gutted that it's been such a one week wonder and has fallen so dramatically :( Ah well, at least it made waves in its week at the top and I still want an instrumental version of it! 6. I'm pleased for Coldplay, this is probably my favourite single of theirs to date now (you know I've never been a fan :P) and will be a deserved #1 - they started the era with what looked like an underperforming album, a top ten hit and a top twenty hit and they've finished the year with a near million selling album and a #1 single, funny how things change (with the power of X Factor :D) 8. I doubt that Born To Die will quite have the legs to top my chart but it should hang around for a while! 10. You noticed Mikey's comments in my chart thread last week then! Isn't Batidos Spanish for something? 14. It definitely clicked properly this week, I don't like it as much as Down With The Trumpets but it's far better than When I Was A Youngster! No new music around in the UK but my chart's always packed with new entries, although I fear that most of it may be too obscure for Buzzjack this week - there's a real lack of pop in my top ten at the moment with indie dominating :o 21. More the fact that I haven't listened to it at all this week, I don't regret putting it top three as I was really into it on that week but I've barely listened to it since, very much a 7 day object of my affections no doubt motivated by getting caught up in the hype  Still very much looking forward to their 2012 material though! 22. I think it's been clear for a long time that electro pop is no longer the 'in thing' - people clearly want more 'serious' and classy music again now, which is never a bad thing! At least it proves that the album won't be a 12 ballad affair. 27. Titanium is easily David Guetta's finest ever track and deserves all of its continued success in my chart :D 31. I'm surprised it's picked up so much with the video only just having come out and no real airplay to speak of. It's a decent pop song though. 34. It's not that I didn't like it - I gave it 2 points in the semi - I just didn't see what warranted it being so good that it deserved top three. I actually re-added it to my playlist solely off the back of it climbing to #1 for you! It barely ever happens in your chart so I figured that I needed to give it a second chance too, and sure enough as I've been playing it through the week it's grown on me a lot more  Hey Rich ^_^ 1. Gotye feat Kimbra - Somebody That I Used To Know (2) (CR-60-48-44-39-OUT-27-19-13-9-2-1) I'm compiling my new chart tomorrow and it may just be a snap position again! :o 3. Hilltop Hoods feat Sia - I Love It (4) (CR-5-2-4-3) 4. Freja Loeb - Never Stop Coming Back (14) (CR-31-25-14-4) 6. Coldplay - Paradise (3) (CR-20-30-40-OUT-10-3-6) 7. J-Son feat Salem Al Fakir - Remedy (12) (CR-12-7) 8. Lana Del Rey - Born To Die (8) (CR-34-22-8-8) 9. Rihanna feat Calvin Harris - We Found Love (6) (CR-21-4-3-4-7-5-2-3-5-1-1-1-4-6-9) 10. Cover Drive - Twilight (10) (CR-10-10) Really can't get into this as much as LYD :( 11. Kelly Clarkson - What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger) (21) (CR-55-OUT-23-13-7-11-24-36-31-33-32-21-11) 12. Flo Rida feat Sia - Wild Ones (26) (CR-26-12) This really isn't as good as I should be for a Sia song :( 13. Oh Land - Speak Out Now (13) (CR-13-13) 14. Rizzle Kicks - Mama Do The Hump (37) (CR-39-37-14) 16. Reece Mastin - Good Night (5) (CR-16-9-14-11-5-16) 17. Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs - Garden (27) (CR-27-17) 19. Ed Sheeran - Lego House (17) (CR-14-16-18-14-9-3-1-3-1-1-6-8-11-14-17-19) Longest Runner 21. Little Mix - Cannonball (7) (CR-3-7-21) Ouch! They're gonna fall a few in my chart too I think but certainly not this much :drama: 22. Lana Del Rey - Off To The Races (22) (CR-22-22) 23. DJ Fresh feat Rita Ora - Hot Right Now (29) (CR-29-23) 24. Rihanna - You Da One (24) (CR-10-10-15-19-24-24-24) 25. The Saturdays - White Lies (11) (CR-18-16-4-7-11-25) 26. Ren Harvieu - Through The Night (36) (CR-36-26) 27. David Guetta feat Sia - Titanium (33) (CR-4-1-2-3-7-12-18-23-29-32-29-39-OUT-33-27) 28. The Weeknd - D.D. (NEW) (CR-28) My highlight of EOS (his best mixtape yet imo), he sounds so much like MJ on it it's unreal :o] 31. Jessie J - Domino (39) (CR-54-44-46-OUT-39-31) 32. Florence + The Machine - No Light, No Light (35) (CR-30-21-15-OUT-36-35-32) 33. Skylar Grey - Coming Home Pt. II (NEW) (CR-33) 34. Charli XCX - Nuclear Seasons (NEW) (CR-34) Much like Gotye, this is growing on me big time far too late :drama: 35. The Weeknd - XO / The Host (NEW) (CR-35) 36. Sunday Girl - Where Is My Mind (NEW) (CR-36) 37. Madonna - Masterpiece (38) (CR-38-37) 38. Adam Lambert - Better Than I Know Myself (40) (CR-40-38) 40. Taylor Swift feat The Civil Wars - Safe & Sound (NEW) (CR-40) Brilliant chart as per :D Thanks Liam, I'm so belatedly in love with the Gotye song  I'm surprisingly in love with the Flo Rida song - he usually gets small hits in my chart and Wild Ones in the verses is EXACTLY the same as everything of his but I adore the chorus. Getting a little bored of Cannonball already, it's great for a winner's single but amongst everything else out at the moment it's really not standing up to the competition. Echoes of Silence is very good, the last few tracks I'm not into enough though for it to go any higher than #5 on my album chart yet - D.D. is impressive though, a stunning cover. Agreed about Charli XCX, I gave it 2 points in the semi of the original contest iirc and that was about it
December 30, 201113 yr Hello, 1. Gotye feat Kimbra - Somebody That I Used To Know (2) (CR-60-48-44-39-OUT-27-19-13-9-2-1) 2. Military Wives with Gareth Malone - Wherever You Are (1) (CR-37-1-1-2) 3. Hilltop Hoods feat Sia - I Love It (4) (CR-5-2-4-3) 4. Freja Loeb - Never Stop Coming Back (14) (CR-31-25-14-4) - Same as below. This is.. Danish? It feels that way. Never heard of her before, the way the title is sung is rather nice though. 5. Snakadaktal - Air (9) (CR-34-9-5) - Well, this has gotten to your top 5, so I ought to check it out. Whatever Snakadaktal (the name makes me think of flying dinosaurs) is meant to mean, it does have an airy feel. Haven't made up my mind on it yet though 6. Coldplay - Paradise (3) (CR-20-30-40-OUT-10-3-6) 8. Lana Del Rey - Born To Die (8) (CR-34-22-8-8) 9. Rihanna feat Calvin Harris - We Found Love (6) (CR-21-4-3-4-7-5-2-3-5-1-1-1-4-6-9) 10. Cover Drive - Twilight (10) (CR-10-10) 11. Kelly Clarkson - What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger) (21) (CR-55-OUT-23-13-7-11-24-36-31-33-32-21-11) 12. Flo Rida feat Sia - Wild Ones (26) (CR-26-12) - One of my favourite Flo Rida tracks already. Sia's chorus is fine, not her best. 13. Oh Land - Speak Out Now (13) (CR-13-13) 14. Rizzle Kicks - Mama Do The Hump (37) (CR-39-37-14) 16. Reece Mastin - Good Night (5) (CR-16-9-14-11-5-16) 18. Marigold - You & I Know (NEW) (CR-18) 19. Ed Sheeran - Lego House (17) (CR-14-16-18-14-9-3-1-3-1-1-6-8-11-14-17-19) Longest Runner 20. Azuro feat Elly - Toca Me (NEW) (CR-20) - Sounds almost better than Ti Amo. Are Azuro feat Elly an act or two acts 'tied at the hip' then? Because I wasn't expecting a second song from them. :o 21. Little Mix - Cannonball (7) (CR-3-7-21) 22. Lana Del Rey - Off To The Races (22) (CR-22-22) 23. DJ Fresh feat Rita Ora - Hot Right Now (29) (CR-29-23) 24. Rihanna - You Da One (24) (CR-10-10-15-19-24-24-24) 25. The Saturdays - White Lies (11) (CR-18-16-4-7-11-25) 27. David Guetta feat Sia - Titanium (33) (CR-4-1-2-3-7-12-18-23-29-32-29-39-OUT-33-27) 31. Jessie J - Domino (39) (CR-54-44-46-OUT-39-31) 32. Florence + The Machine - No Light, No Light (35) (CR-30-21-15-OUT-36-35-32) 33. Skylar Grey - Coming Home Pt. II (NEW) (CR-33) - Suprisingly not excited about this, it's not bad, but it loses all the momentum the original had and the verses don't feel as special as the chorus did. December 30, 201113 yr Hi Rich! :D 1. Gotye feat Kimbra - Somebody That I Used To Know (2) (CR-60-48-44-39-OUT-27-19-13-9-2-1) It's struggling to regain momentum for me, I'm sure it will re-grow on me once it's realised (and hopefully taking the UK charts by storm!) for now it will have to bounce around the 20's and 30's of my chart. 2. December 30, 201113 yr A great chart as always, a few comments: 1. Gotye feat Kimbra - Somebody That I Used To Know (2) (CR-60-48-44-39-OUT-27-19-13-9-2-1) - Still loving it and so glad its got to #1 for you. Its out in Ireland today so chances are it'll def be out on Sunday here, odd but then I thought about what you said in another post thats its the type of song that will grow. I pray this does well here, I just hope Radio 1 support it, I'm getting slightly concerned they may see its out and not doing much initially and ignore it but hopefully that won't happen. Surely with all the Worldwide success (including even potentially America now) it'll do it. I am beginning to sound like a loon -_- 2. Military Wives with Gareth Malone - Wherever You Are (1) (CR-37-1-1-2) 3. Hilltop Hoods feat Sia - I Love It (4) (CR-5-2-4-3) 6. January 1, 201213 yr Hi Rich! Happy New Year! 1. Gotye feat Kimbra - Somebody That I Used To Know (2) (CR-60-48-44-39-OUT-27-19-13-9-2-1) :cheer: I knew it'd get there! Hopefully it'll stick around the top for a while with its UK release! 3. Hilltop Hoods feat Sia - I Love It (4) (CR-5-2-4-3) Not sure I approve of Sia becoming a collaboration whore, this is a miss for me :( 4. Freja Loeb - Never Stop Coming Back (14) (CR-31-25-14-4) "We can be heroes, just for one day" - this feels really classic! Really like it on first listen, guess I should've paid attention four weeks ago :kink: 5. Snakadaktal - Air (9) (CR-34-9-5) Just heard this through Mart!n's chart, really beautiful crack-of-dawn type music 13. Oh Land - Speak Out Now (13) (CR-13-13) First listen... a bit softer than her album, but it works with her voice, even if it's far from her strongest 15. Prance Faris - Flares (31) (CR-31-15) Very euphoric, almost a heightened version of Avicii! 17. Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs - Garden (27) (CR-27-17) I've heard their name around for a while - instantly see why! I know this from an advert! Really interesting contrast between the music and the misty vocals 18. Marigold - You & I Know (NEW) (CR-18) This is gorgeous, Ghosty's current #1 I believe? Really lovely vocals 20. Azuro feat Elly - Toca Me (NEW) (CR-20) A follow-up? :o Ooh, predictable but wonderful sound, if a bit unseasonable  23. DJ Fresh feat Rita Ora - Hot Right Now (29) (CR-29-23) I wasn't big on Louder, but thought I'd give this a chance - a bit clubbier, so more to my tastes  24. Rihanna - You Da One (24) (CR-10-10-15-19-24-24-24) Really clinging onto this mid-range, I kind of understand why, it keeps yo-yo'ing around my chart! Can never decide how I feel really 26. Ren Harvieu - Through The Night (36) (CR-36-26) Oh yes, I heard this on Digital Spy last week - really nice, soft but affecting 28. The Weeknd - D.D. (NEW) (CR-28) Astonishing how much like MJ this sounds :o Really brilliant choice of cover 29. Chisu - Kohtalon Oma (NEW) (CR-29) The video! Nice song as well 30. Takida - You Learn (NEW) (CR-30) Love the grand feel to this! 31. Jessie J - Domino (39) (CR-54-44-46-OUT-39-31) My dislike for Jessie knows no bounds (well, lie, I did love DILAD and saw her live off the back of that last Feb, but downhill quick from there), but gave this is a listen - good chorus, but she needs to be told to restrain herself with her vocal tricks 33. Skylar Grey - Coming Home Pt. II (NEW) (CR-33) She kinda... stumbled, didn't she? This is gorgeous nonetheless 34. Charli XCX - Nuclear Seasons (NEW) (CR-34) Nice to see this enter finally! 36. Sunday Girl - Where Is My Mind (NEW) (CR-36) Much less my 'kind of thing' than Love U More, but absolutely gorgeous vocals, she really deserves to be big - just needs to land better original material! 40. Taylor Swift feat The Civil Wars - Safe & Sound (NEW) (CR-40) I've listened to all these other tracks I didn't know, but I'm afraid I draw the line at Taylor Swift! :o :P Apologies for the comment overload - but your chart is one of the best for discoveries so I thought I'd go all-out this week! :D
January 1, 201213 yr Author Hello, 1. Maybe it'll just take time 34. Charli XCX - Nuclear Seasons (NEW) (CR-34) Great chart, Rich. Happy New Year. :D Thanks Eyes, Freja Loeb is indeed Danish, I thought that the music sounded quite Australian to me, Danes usually release happy smiley music  Hopefully Air will grow on you, it's definitely a huge grower for me anyway! Yes indeed - the gap in quality between Flo Rida and Sia's discographies is quite immense, his songs usually go top 20/30 for me, she's had three #1's on my chart over the years and I Love It almost made it four! I guess Azuro and Elly must be something of a pair, I didn't ever expect to hear anything else by them either! Hi Rich! 2. Charli XCX - Nuclear Seasons (NEW) (CR-34) Bit over-hyped imo :( Stay Away was much better! How did it DNQ? :o Hope you have a happy new year! :D Thanks Klumzee :D 1. Hopefully it will click back with you soon, it's fully lodged in my brain now, I guess it's finally grown to its maximum potential with me! 2. I'm not sure, I was hoping to get an instrumental version of it but it hasn't surfaced :( I do still love it though so we'll see... 10. Lick Ya Down didn't make my top 40, Twilight has a far better melody imo so I hope it can somehow be more of a UK hit than that was! 12. She's great, she's had #1's in my chart with Destiny, Somersault and Titanium so check out the first two if you don't know them! 14. I expect this will go into my top ten next week, it's a grower for me but I can't get it out of my head now! 20. Ti Amo's probably a bit better but I still really like the music in this one too. 34. I've only just got into it this week! Didn't think much of Stay Away tbh... Hiya 2. Military Wives with Gareth Malone - Wherever You Are (1) (CR-37-1-1-2) 6. Sunday Girl - Where Is My Mind (NEW) (CR-36) Thanks 007, glad you like the Gotye song, I'm still loving Wherever You Are, even if the UK went off it by Boxing Day  A great chart as always, a few comments: 1. Coldplay - Paradise (3) (CR-20-30-40-OUT-10-3-6) - So glad this is heading for a UK #1. 8. Lana Del Rey - Born To Die (8) (CR-34-22-8-8) - STILL growing on me 9. Rihanna feat Calvin Harris - We Found Love (6) (CR-21-4-3-4-7-5-2-3-5-1-1-1-4-6-9) 10. Cover Drive - Twilight (10) (CR-10-10) 11. DJ Fresh feat Rita Ora - Hot Right Now (29) (CR-29-23) - As we discussed the other week, could well be a UK #1 in Feb24. Rihanna - You Da One (24) (CR-10-10-15-19-24-24-24) 25. The Saturdays - White Lies (11) (CR-18-16-4-7-11-25) 27. David Guetta feat Sia - Titanium (33) (CR-4-1-2-3-7-12-18-23-29-32-29-39-OUT-33-27) 31. Jessie J - Domino (39) (CR-54-44-46-OUT-39-31) 38. Adam Lambert - Better Than I Know Myself (40) (CR-40-38) Thanks Simon! Gotye definitely need radio support to do well, hopefully they'll get it or else I'll blame Radio 1 for it flopping! Wild Ones should be big off the back of Good Feeling, it's far better than Flo Rida's usual follow up singles to a huge hit! Hello there 1. Gotye feat Kimbra - Somebody That I Used To Know (2) (CR-60-48-44-39-OUT-27-19-13-9-2-1) 6. Coldplay - Paradise (3) (CR-20-30-40-OUT-10-3-6) 9. Florence + The Machine - No Light, No Light (35) (CR-30-21-15-OUT-36-35-32) 34. Charli XCX - Nuclear Seasons (NEW) (CR-34) 38. Adam Lambert - Better Than I Know Myself (40) (CR-40-38) not the strongest comeback imo, I wanted more rockish sound :( Great chart and Happy New Year! Thanks Nick :D Hi Rich! :D Thanks David, I appreciate the comments, always! Nice to hear that you make discoveries out of it :D My chart's gone a bit obscure in the last couple of weeks, I was worried that people would stop replying because they didn't know anything! 1. Haha yes, we've all been joking about it since the late summer but look it really did go and top my chart six months later  I guess it was inevitable in some ways! 3. Shame, I absolutely love this! I don't mind her doing a collaboration like this but I did think that Titanium was a one off - surprised at her collaborating with Flo Rida though... 4. It's great, sort of reminds me of Ladyhawke and I love the music in it. I'd send it to BJSC if there was a contest happening any time soon, I might send it yet, it's easily the 'unknown' song I'm loving most right now! 5. ...even if this is putting up a close fight. I introduced it to Martin, more than anyone else I thought he'd appreciate it so I PM'd him about it the other week  It's gorgeous, typical Australian chillout indie in the vein of Empire of the Sun/PNAU/Gypsy & The Cat etc...However I wouldn't consider sending it to BJSC as it would just get completely ignored and DNQ, sad but true. I always send what I like but what's the point in sending a song that barely anybody would appreciate :( 13. I really like it, although it is very poppy for her I agree. 15. Definitely, Avicii is the obvious comparison, I reckon this could be a hit with radio support, not that it will get it  17. Agreed, this song's a real surprise for me! 18. Indeed, I discovered it in Ghosty's chart too, really nice song and the vocals are great I agree. 20. Haha true, it's not exactly December/January music but it's strong enough to warrant a place in my top 20 regardless! 24. Yeah, I do like it and I don't want it to drop out of my top 40 just yet, but at the same time it doesn't need to peak higher than #10, which is quite poor for a Rihanna second single to say the least... 26. Agreed, lovely song, will surely be in my top 20 next week. Just read her biography on her website though, apparently she almost became paralysed for life in a freak accident last summer :o 28. Couldn't agree more, although I think XO / The Host will prove to be my ultimate favourite from the album... 29. Haha, it's quite something isn't it, love that she plays a male security guard  30. Same, the production is very impressive and what attracted me to it in the first place  33. Yeah, I'm not sure what happened, I thought she'd be everywhere by now! Regardless I love Coming Home and this is a year late but still lovely. 34. Yes, it took a while to click, as songs sometimes do with me  36. Definitely, I doubt she's ever going to 'happen' which is a shame but I'll still have love for her!

Taylor Swift feat The Civil Wars - Safe & Sound (NEW) (CR-40) Loving the inclusion of The Weeknd and Taylor Swift!
January 2, 201213 yr Thanks Tom - did you leave Military Wives in by mistake? :o Yep, I've seen the Titanium video, impressive for him - an actual story which doesn't involve himself DJ'ing, women and a club  I downloaded Chisu's new album with my iTunes gift card, it's decent although this is a highlight. You Learn is surprisingly decent, I always find two or three great new songs on these Absolute Music compilations! Not sure about Sunday Girl, I think Love U More is already coming out, this song (a Pixie's cover) is already on iTunes :o No problem  Nope :P Yeah it's pretty cool, though the general reception isn't great. Oh cool, anything as good as Baden Baden or even Sabotage? Yeah it's really not bad, though I don't know if I will chart it. Love U More has disappeared off the face of the earth :( Oh yeah I see, well it's pretty cool but I love Love U More more :kink:
January 2, 201213 yr Hi Rich, 1. Gotye feat Kimbra - Somebody That I Used To Know (2) (CR-60-48-44-39-OUT-27-19-13-9-2-1) 3. Hilltop Hoods feat Sia - I Love It (4) (CR-5-2-4-3) 8. Taylor Swift feat The Civil Wars - Safe & Sound (NEW) (CR-40) Never expected STIUTK to go to #1 on your chart, but pleased nonetheless! I can't see it going any less than Top 5 UK. If Video Games could go Top 10 with some buzz, surely this can be a hit. Looks like Kelly is set to return to the Top 10. I personally think it's still her best song since the Breakaway era. I'm really liking the Oh Land song. Is it from an upcoming album due this year? Nice to see you're getting on board with Nuclear Seasons. It took awhile for me to like the song too. Great chart as always!
January 3, 201213 yr Hi Rich. Hope you had a good new year! :D 3. Hilltop Hoods feat Sia - I Love It (4) (CR-5-2-4-3) 6. Coldplay - Paradise (3) (CR-20-30-40-OUT-10-3-6) 8. Lana Del Rey - Born To Die (8) (CR-34-22-8-8) This sounds a lot better than 'Video Games' (although that's not exactly a challenge, for me) but I just can't get over how depressing she is. She makes me feel so miserable after I've listened to her songs. Aha. 9. Rihanna feat Calvin Harris - We Found Love (6) (CR-21-4-3-4-7-5-2-3-5-1-1-1-4-6-9) 10. Cover Drive - Twilight (10) (CR-10-10) Woo for this sticking in the top 10 for a second week. Keeps growing on me. Hope it becomes a shock big hit. 11. Kelly Clarkson - What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger) (21) (CR-55-OUT-23-13-7-11-24-36-31-33-32-21-11) Wooooo! Love, love this. Can't stop playing it at the moment. (Well, this and Alesha's newy!) 12. Flo Rida feat Sia - Wild Ones (26) (CR-26-12) 14. Rizzle Kicks - Mama Do The Hump (37) (CR-39-37-14) 16. Reece Mastin - Good Night (5) (CR-16-9-14-11-5-16) 19. Ed Sheeran - Lego House (17) (CR-14-16-18-14-9-3-1-3-1-1-6-8-11-14-17-19) Longest Runner 21. Little Mix - Cannonball (7) (CR-3-7-21) Oh no! :( Hopefully their own material will do better for you. But I still adore this version. 24. Rihanna - You Da One (24) (CR-10-10-15-19-24-24-24) 25. The Saturdays - White Lies (11) (CR-18-16-4-7-11-25) 27. David Guetta feat Sia - Titanium (33) (CR-4-1-2-3-7-12-18-23-29-32-29-39-OUT-33-27) 31. Jessie J - Domino (39) (CR-54-44-46-OUT-39-31) 33. Skylar Grey - Coming Home Pt. II (NEW) (CR-33) Stunning. Although I do prefer her version of 'Love the Way You Lie (Part II)' more. 34. Charli XCX - Nuclear Seasons (NEW) (CR-34) So many songs I haven't heard of! Aha. Terrible number 1, but you knew that I'd say that anyway so bleh. Lol.
