Retro thanks to Chartstats

The OCC may have given away something on their Facebook - can I post this? I'll put it in spoilers anyway but do delete it if you think it constitutes spoilers :P

Official UK Charts

Happy New Year everyone! We've got a [sic] TWO new Number 1s for you coming up at 7 and a new chart record breaker! Stay tuned!

Two new number 1s = Coldplay and Ed Sheeran? Ed isn't really new so it doesn't necessarily mean that but I think there's a good chance. A new chart record breaker, intriguing, no idea what that could be - record decline in album sales for Bublé?

Anyway, hope Coldplay have held onto the #1 single and #2 album :D Maroon 5 being outside the top 10 would be nice too, they'll definitely be back next week if they aren't today but that's one week less if they miss out today.

One of the number one's has already been revealed and it's only new in the sense that it wasn't there last week, but it's been number one before.

Biggest Singles sales drop? Military Wives from 550k to sub 100k?

They should also be announcing Moves Like Jagger as a million seller but I don't think that is a record in any way.

Could they not be talking about revealing the Official EOY charts, and they could be talking about 'Someone Like You' being the record breaker? I am not sure?

Why are OCC posting these things? Do they AGAIN officially announce the number one before the chart show starts?

They haven't actually revealed the #1s, just hinted at them.

They should also be announcing Moves Like Jagger as a million seller but I don't think that is a record in any way.

I suppose it's possible MLJ is the first song to sell a million in a calendar year without reaching #1? In fact that's probably what it is.

I saw that OCC 'hint' as well. Its hardly unexpected news though given the (scant) midweeks.

01. (1) Matt Cardle - When We Collide

02. (2) Rihanna - What's My Name ft Drake

04. (5) Ellie Goulding - Your Song

05. (8) Katy Perry - Firework

06. (6) Rihanna - Only Girl (In The World)

I am not really a fan of any of those songs that much, I love Firework the most though. Poor start to 2011 music wise. Willow Smith, what a awful, awful song.

What song dropped from 4 out of the Top 10 in last year's chart?

Katy B feat. Ms. Dynamite - Lights On. It was back up to #4 the next week

But they did last week.

Of course WE know pretty sure who top the charts but it still annoys me.

Last week was an exception due to TOTP and Xmas day. Its hardly the rule, so need to get wound up about it.

But they did last week.

Of course WE know pretty sure who top the charts but it still annoys me.

Wasn't that just because of Top of the Pops though? I can understand them doing it in that situation, because moving TOTP to after 7pm would be a bit drastic (although they could have the chart show in the morning next time Christmas falls on a Sunday perhaps?).

A chart record to do with Moves Like Jagger could be the fastest time taken for a #2 to sell a million? It's done it remarkably quickly, in all honesty.

Hi guys :yahoo: Happy new year! Retro faves:

I would think its 100% that MLJ has sold a million now, and an outside chance for LMFAO.
