So, this is a Katy Perry reject...

Katy would make the absurd lyrics part of her act though.

A good track? It sounds like an unfinished demo.

And she's lost her "hotness" this era. She actually looks tragic in the AAT video.

She got it back in "What Do You Take Me For?" which was actually interesting and probably the best thing she's done (hardly difficult).

these songs went out of the chart this week:

40 Slade - Merry Xmas Everybody

39 Jason Derulo - Fight For You

38 Wizzard - I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everday

37 Slow Moving Millie - Pelase, Please, Please, Let Me Get What I Want

36 Chris Rea - Driving Home For Christmas

35 Rebecca Ferguson - Nothing's Real But Love

34 Wham! - Last Christmas

33 Cast Of The Only Way Is Essex - Last Christmas

28 Justin Bieber - Mistletoe

27 Stacey Solomon - Driving Home For Christmas

17 Mariah Carey - All I Want For Christmas Is You

13 The Pogues feat. Kirsty MacColl - Fairytale Of New York

11 Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit

4 Alex Day - Forever Yours

3 Lou Monte - Dominick The Donkey

It's produced by Dr. Luke, who's Katy Perry's main producer, which is why it sounds like a Katy Perry song.

I quite like it though, but I prefer Nobody's Perfect and Who's Laughing Now.

I agree, that haircut does NOT work :(

on the contrary, Domino is quite good, she is FAR better with up-tempo songs than ballads

Domino is ace - best thing she has done after Price Tag. Top 10 soon?

Agreed! Though, is it really a surprise I love it given it's huge resemblance to Last Friday Night?

2007 32 Me Love

2008 47 Take You There

2008 20 Love Like This (Natasha Bedingfield Featuring Sean Kingston)

2010 09 Eenie Meenie (Sean Kingston & Justin Bieber)

2011 09 Party All Night (Sleep All Day)

As someone suggested in the iTunes thread earlier in the week this Sean Kingston re-entry has probably been helped by people receiving the Inbetweeners Movie DVD as Christmas presents (in addition to the gift card effect of course).

Good to see this back though - I should really dislike it but I love it anyway. Probably becasue of the Inbetweeners connection :P

So... the rather generic closing song to the best movie of the year that seemingly the entire population of Great Britain got for Christmas reenters. Why am I not surprised?

Nice to see it back, in any case. :D

Oh yeah, a unfinished Demo track that destroyed Leona Lewis - Collide. I guess the public speak for me.

I don't remember seeing many of these re-entries high on iTunes in the week, I guess there were multiple versions of each song and combined they made it, certainly wasn't expecting to see Lightning, Mr Know It All and When I Was A Youngster but then I didn't pay much attention to the mids this week beyond the top fives in each...

As for TWO songs diving from the top five out of the top 40 and another out from #11, absolutely embarrassing - less of the campaigns next year please.

It's most likely the Inbetweeners Dvd, iTunes gift card and the fact that all versions of the song are 59p

STFTTR - at least it is doing as well as it deserves in the USA. All I want is a top 10 peak for this here :(
Thought this was The Wanted 'Warzone' for a minute :o, never realised how much of a rip off 'Warzone' is of this before, mabye why I like it so much.

I prefer my theory :D See this week's commentary just before 7.00 for details

I noticed the Blow remix was also high on iTunes this week, so the Inbetweeners movie probably is the reason.

Set Fire to the Rain will probably get a music video soon (finally) so it could re-enter the top 40 briefly again.
