Well, Gotye is now #1 on Ireland's iTunes so hopefully the UK will follow suit in the coming weeks. Has the video been added to any of the playlists (ie; The Box, Chart Show TV, etc...).

I don't know about playlists, but one of the MTV channels I get plays the official top 40 every weekday, so it'll be getting played at least 5 times a week on that channel. I think some other channels proabably play the chart too sometimes.

Somebody That I Used To Know according to Uk Radio Airplay is #48 and not in the top #100 Video Airplay!

 7. Paradise - Coldplay :o :D

 8. Kiss The Stars - Pixie Lott

 9. Troublemaker - Taio Cruz

 10. Dedication to My Ex (Miss That) [feat. Andre 3000 & Lil Wayne] - Lloyd

Now for Lloyd to climb back to at least 9, Gotye to replace Pixie/Taio in the top 10 then Lana to kick out the other of the two when released please :D

What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger) is so #1 worthy :) Hope it reaches the top 3 atleast an outpeaks Mr. Know It All; it's far better and is a classic Kelly tune!

Why the hell Paradise up to #7? :o

I reckon Pixie Lott will be officially number 9 this sunday.

Without you by Glee no longer top 40.

182. David Guetta ft. Nicki Minaj - Turn Me On

This has somehow managed to climb to #1 on US iTunes already!!! I can't believe it. It's probably going to jump to like a 50% lead at #1 when its music video comes out! :o And that should cause it to go top 100 here. That song is such a hit.

I still believe 'Turn Me On' will go top 40 at LEAST once the video has premiered. People are already sort of familiar with it, despite not hearing it much. It's going to be a huge hit, which radio will catch onto, after it's gone top 20 and stuff. (I hope )

I am actually looking forward to a top 10 clear out next week. I doubt/hope that Pixie manages to remain top 10 as I can see this plummeting down the charts as soon as it drops out of top 10 after starting with potential.

I hope Paradise, Troublemaker drop out fast.

Really hope 'T.H.E.' isn't as big as I am imagining it to be! :puke: TERRIBLE song. (Video is fantastic though!)

I couldn't agree more.

Bruce Springsteen being top 40 makes me incredibly happy. Unfortunately it's too late in the week to make the chart, and it'll drop like a stone by Monday.

Why is he T40 anyway - TV appearance? Advert usage?

Technically it's already gone top 20 :kink:

On the video play for Gotye - its being played on mtv rocks. Saw it last weekend, its success on itunes means that the top 40 chart countdowns will play it so it gets more exposure and hopefully soon mtv hits will pick it up.

Its being on capitals radio playlist seals the deal for a top 10 hit in my book. Its underlines how video airplay on ALL the mtv channels is essential!!
