It's only really a figure of speech :lol: I'd say I 'couldn't handle it' if Rizzle Kicks got number 1 because I don't like it, but I'm not going to literally crumble to dust if/when it's announced as the number 1 :P

Capital probably play it once every 2 hours, so after every 30 songs.

I know. The songs are so overplayed on the station. It's shocking really. I have suspicions it might be a similar case to The Wanted, where they have connections to that guy who's in charge of the commercial radio stations, since both artists came seemingly out of nowhere and ended up on the playlists of Capital, Choice and Heart FM. That just doesn't happen with normal artists, especially on Heart FM.

Well, if Twilight is going to be #1, I just hope it has some longevity. The first 3 #1s of the year have all been songs that have had or will have good longevity (Paradise still #10 on week 19 [or 13 if you must], Good Feeling still #5 on week 10, Domino should stick around for quite some time) and it'd be a shame for us to lose that streak already before the end of January.

 

But then on the other hand I don't want it to have longevity because it's awful and I don't want it to be #1 at all :lol:

I actually quite like Twilight, and I'm not surprised its doing well. It's got that Island sound thats been pretty popular in What's My Name/Right There/I'm Into You/Got 2 Luv U etc... I'd much rather Twilight was number one over Born To Die which imo is incredibly dull and boring like Video Games is. I think Lana is overated personally. However I would love a Titanium/Wild Ones top 2 :D

I really can't see Cover Drive having longevity at all. I think Wild Ones and Born To Die will last longer, even if they don't peak as high.

Twilight will obviously be frontloaded, I agree. I can't see it ever climbing the chart, because let's be honest, it can't really get any more promotion than it already has. :lol: I'm glad it's going #1 though, as it's my favourite. Wild Ones will sell the most out of the big 3, I predict. I can see it doing 10 weeks in the top 10 like Good Feeling.

I really hope Skyscraper can be a huge hit, it's one of my fave songs of 2011 :wub: Too late now though I think - it would've gone top 40 had it been released at the time I think but it might just scrape top 100, unless it miraculously gets loads of airplay/promo. Then again, Selena Gomez always manages a minor hit (ie just outside top 40) with nothing but the video being played between basically every show on Disney Channel :lol:
