I agree  Alyssa is quite generic actually, whereas Lana IS credible.

So that's just me, Eyes and Ryan741 happy Alyssa could be no.1 then? :P Lots of hate seems to be emerging for her :(

It seems to be :P At least she's going to manage a top 10 position :D

I loved her for a while so I'm glad she's looking to do well, but I do hope Titanium gets it.

Alyssa was on a Candian TV show called The Next Star, which is a bit like X-Factor/Idol except the contestants are under 15. Obviously as I'm in the UK I didn't watch it but Wikipedia says she only came 6th - fast forward a few years and she's looking like having a UK hit. Previously her only charting singles were in Canada - Alone Again to 11 I think and The Game something like 25. I have no idea how 'hype' has built up in the UK but there you go.

It's like Alexis Jordan (failed America's Got Talent contestant) all over again! They even have similarish names :P

The main difference here being Alexis Jordan's music is quite good ofc.

I did think Alone Again would be a little bot higher by this point but it's still easily heading for #1 <_< Come on Titanium, please hold out!

(Also this must be the first time since Katy B was popular that a female solo artist has got more 'hate' than 'love' on BuzzJack )

-x-

Isn't Madonna's newie being released on Sunday, the same day as will.i.am? That might be an interesting battle but I'm not sure Madonna will do THAT well to be honest, I'm sure it'll go top 10 but I don't think it'll be a #1 contender.

With all the versions added up, I think Alyssa is going to be #1.

The chart run of 4 Minutes was:

7-5-8-4-1-1-1-1-3-3-4-8-11-13-14-17-20

So, note to Madonna haters, do NOT say she's flopping if she *only* debuts at #7. You might just end up embarrassing yourselves if 2 months later she's on her 4th week at #1.

Kind of random, but does anybody remember the demo version of 4 Minutes that leaked? Madonna sounded like she was on helium, and it was really sped up.

Seeing as she's got the video out right away too, that should help it. I'd not be entirely shocked if she went to number 1 late in the week a la Gaga (with less of a lead), but it would be too late to snatch the official number 1.

On the new release schedule she's on the coming soon list without a release date... lol

Does this mean that it will be ineligible to chart like Paradise was?

And the song will be released on iTunes on 3rd February, then everywhere else the 7th February? Or is it just a remix? I'm really confused. :(

Although chances are that might all just only apply to the US anyway.

But then someone posts a link in reply further down!

And someone reads only the list and not the comments. No need to be sarcastic ;)

i seriously wasnt being sarcastic lol just informative!

Yes, without this sentence:

Pre-dominantly trash-pop lovers there. And not many of them frequent the iTunes thread....
