January 23, 201213 yr It should be taken into account that certain acts have multiples of their videos; Girls Aloud's 'Call The Shots' is also on the Polydor channel and has 5 million views there, for example.
January 23, 201213 yr So One Direction and Cheryl Cole are the most-viewed artists that probably aren't getting most of their views from the US (since they're not really known there).
January 23, 201213 yr So One Direction and Cheryl Cole are the most-viewed artists that probably aren't getting most of their views from the US (since they're not really known there). I think One Direction have pretty big fanbases outside the UK (just not in the USA - not yet anyway, if The Wanted have broken through I don't see why One Direction wouldn't be able to unfortunately).
January 23, 201213 yr Author How accurate is this? Did Vevo produce this? If you go onto VEVO and type in an artists name, when you click on the artist it gives you their full number of views for all their videos, but as someone else pointed out its obviously only their official VEVO accounts. But then its the same for most artists, they usually have their record companys account too. Kylie is a prime example as her Parlophone views are probably just as high or higher than her VEVO views. Ill add Westlife too.
January 23, 201213 yr how can westlife have only 50 million? you raise me up, flying without wings and my love alone have more than 50 millions!
January 23, 201213 yr how can westlife have only 50 million? you raise me up, flying without wings and my love alone have more than 50 millions! I feel slightly dirty for checking this, but I didn't click on the actual videos so it's fine :D Flying Without Wings 1.7 million My Love 5.8 million You Raise Me Up 5.8 million That equals 13.3 million, so 50 sounds a little generous if anything. On another note, do you listen to / talk about ANYONE else?
January 23, 201213 yr can you add westlife on the list? they must be around 180 millions. . . Aren't they Irish?
January 23, 201213 yr I have The Saturdays on 41/42kk as well, and I know we're talking about VEVO views, but if we add plays from their official channel or the record label's channel I have them over 65kk. And yes, aren't Westlife Irish?

January 23, 201213 yr Aren't they Irish? Ahahahaha, I missed the most glaring mistake of all
January 23, 201213 yr Ellie would actually be probably over 60,000,000 had 'Your Song' been posted on here VEVO. Quite amazing she's racked up 20m on YS without the Vevo promo!
January 23, 201213 yr Author Aren't they Irish? blink.gif Yeah thats why I didn't add them originally until it was requested but sometimes Irish gets counted in with British so I suppose its acceptable...kind of lol
January 23, 201213 yr Is it just me or is that really low for Girls Aloud and Sugababes? No. Surely they didn't have VEVO when they were at their peaks? It only really became the norm recently. I don't think GA even had VEVO during Out of Control and frankly I'm surprised their figures are so high. Edited January 23, 201213 yr by Umi
January 24, 201213 yr I thought this deserved its own thread. I made a list of some of the most popular UK artists at the moment and ranked their VEVO views, feel free to add anything. Cheryl Cole - 72 million There are 3 FFTL videos on youtube (CherylColemusic, CherylColeVEVO and Polydor), and only the sum of them is 83, although I suppose this is something that happens to every artist that published videos before the existence of VEVO. And I remember there was an account with the GA videos but some of the them got deleted last year and uploaded only in the VEVO account, I don't even know how they have 14 million.
January 24, 201213 yr Girls Aloud would be on huge numbers if VEVO had been prominent since their debut. They would have hundreds of millions. I'm actually surprised Olly is so low since he is a completely new artist. He must be very local, compared to One Direction at least.
January 24, 201213 yr I'm actually surprised Olly is so low since he is a completely new artist. He must be very local, compared to One Direction at least. Olly has only charted outside the UK/Ireland with 'Heart Skips A Beat' - it's been a respectable top 10 hit in Austria, got #37 in Bulgaria, #57 in Switzerland and #91 in Canada.
