I just listened to it before I posted it, I have most of the versions, and that is the Jump Smokers version, with 1 verse right at the beginning, just like the P Reign version, but with different lyrics and all of Alyssa's verses. Maybe I've just got the rap-lite version of the Jump Smokers version. :drama:

Well there's definitely at least two rap verses on the version I've heard once on Radio 1 and about 5 times on Capital. I think they're playing the same version on TV as well but I've only seen the video for it once and I don't remember if it was any different to the radio version.

I'm glad Radio 1 have playlisted Cover Drive. It's a good song, and it might help it stay in the chart for a bit longer.

By the way, today I found the oldest Radio 1 playlist online, from July 97, when their website first launched. Shall be posting it once July comes around :)
It's was about time they added Cover Drive. Better late than never. Should have gone straight to B-list though. Hopefully they will upgrade it next week.
Completely shocked at the Ting Tings, still it'll manage top 75 at the very most. Are they still actually pressing ahead with that forever delayed second album?

it's finally released next month, this time it's for sure I think as the album's on hmv and they've tweeted about it quite a bit which is a bit more detail that was given in the past.

my interest in it has faded now though. :( they left it far too long.

They did have an air of "one album wonder" about them all along, but they've buggered this up well and truly. It'll do absolutely nothing.

The Ting Tings. :o Such a surprise, but it is a good song, so hopefully it can manager Top 75 or so, reminds me of when they added Avril about a month too late last year...

Why does everyone hate the ting tings all of a sudden?

Did Puretone Addicted to Bass not get to the alist - it was top 10 for ages?!

Puretone - Addicted To Bass Surprised this was only B-listed, I thought it would be right up Radio 1's street!

That just means it was on the B-list that week, it probably moved up to the A-list afterwards.

The version I downloaded has two rap verses on it. Though I don't have the UK Radio Edit, so I have no idea if it's much different (of course it's shorter because us folk in the UK can't listen to a song that's more that 2 and half minutes long, but ya'knowwwww. :P)...

I see Cover Drive on there. You can calm down now Mr. C. Joel :kink: Ugh at it being added though <_< The only positive thing is that will hopefully prevent it from being a non-#1.

The Ting Tings? That's a surprising addition :o The rest of the additions aren't so surprising though. Hopefully 'The Wolves' will beat its #97 peak with this re-release. Dappy probably set for a second solo #1, I find it hilarious Brian May agreed to this collaboration  Expected to see Flo Rida added straight to the B-List, tends to happen with these earlier-than-planned releases that hadn't already been playlisted (We Found Love did the same I think?) Need to check out the Utah Saints/Drumsound & Bassline Smith track. Alt-J added

Great to see Gotye moving up to the A-List and Benjamin up to the B-List, not bothered about any of the other movers. Urgh at Alyssa Reid, I really hope it doesn't go to #1 next week but I'm thinking it's inevitable at the moment :(

And I see Avicii has outlasted Flo Rida on the playlist despite not doing as well on the chart! It's the better version though so I'm glad to see it :D I guess they just dumped Flo to make way for 'Wild Ones' and 'Levels' will most likely be dropped next week.

Haha. Knew they would add them, proves my point completely they are just rubbish at judging potential hits. Yet as soon as a song becomes big(in most cases) they will then playlist it and jump on the bandwagon...

Hardly 'rubbish', they get it right 80-90% of the time really.

It would have already been in the top ten for almost a month at this point, so either it dropped from the A-List or it was never on there :o

exactly what i was thinking, it was one of the biggest hits of the start of that year - i do actually vaguely remember it being restricted to radio 1s blist though!

Dont know what the big shock with the ting tings is...their album isnt out until 27/2 so penty of time for it to build!

They will play it but i would be surprised if they played it loads, but you never know.they sometimes clist xfactor winners songs just to acknowledge the fact it got to no1 and they know they will have to play it on chart shows and what not at least 3/4 times in those weeks.

Why does everyone hate the ting tings all of a sudden?

It's not all of a sudden. Everyone's hated Hang It Up since Hang It Up premiered and I doubt most hate the band itself anyway. I really like The Ting Tings, I feel sorry for them and hwo this era has panned out more than anything else.

Still confused at Anna Calvi and I am not understanding the addition of The Ting Tings at all. It's quite clear that nobody cares about them and even Radio 1 A-listing won't change that. It didn't work for Hands which is about 1000 times better than Hang It Up and was more "in".

Something weird is going on with The Ting Tings. I saw their new video on music tv 4 times last night.

It was out on the 16th, but if the album's out at the end of February then it looks like it could be an almost OA/OS deal... Obviously it's had a little airplay and the video's been on Vevo for a while, but it looks like this playlisting could signal the start of its radio/TV push? Maybe we all wrote it off too soon! :o

Yay for 'You da One' having another week on the A-list! :bounce:
