It probably shouldn't be but its always happened throughout time (especially with CD singles). I am actually surprised they have kept it 59p actually as they are #1 now anyway.

 

Exactly, like with the Smash Hits brigade of 1999/2000 with their CD1, CD2 and CD3 formats to generate more sales for a #1 that promptly plummets 01-04-12-35-OUT. Joy!!! :lol:

 

So if 'Titanium' is kept at 59p then good. If it means Guetta feat. Sia stand the chance of getting a second week at no. 1 with the possibility of increasing its sales again then I'm all for it.

 

Can't rule out Gotye from #1 just yet. I reckon once Emeli Sandé Vs DJ Fresh has been and gone, Gotye will still be selling well so perhaps 'STIUTK' will finally top the charts then.

Unless it goes to the extreme and EVERYBODY decides to reduce their prices on iTunes. That would hurt other download sites a bit though, since one of the main draws they have over iTunes atm is that they're way cheaper.

Both charts have been manipulated in various ways ever since I've followed them and price is certainly nothing new. It would be great if everything was equal but that could never happen, it's decided on various other (perhaps unfair) factors every week so one more doesn't hurt.

I can't see Skinny Love not climbing after being used on TV again. I'm sure people that connected with the scene (whatever it was) would be inclined to buy it now.

This is a really interesting song! :o And very unexpected. It's like the piano from Someone Like You sped up, with lots of drums and guitar added in. :lol: And it's weird to hear her do a song with no rapping at all!! She's really showing how versatile she is, all her songs sound so different to each other, it's really good. Kind of like Beyonce in that respect.

 

I'm not sure if it's her next single though, I heard it was Va Va Voom or something like that. I think they should just drop everything and give Stupid Hoe a full release tbh. :coffee: But I wouldn't mind that being a single. She'll really stand out so much from the other female artists with a song like that.

US radio are more open-minded than UK radio tbh, and they seem to be able to cater to more than 2 artists from each genre, unlike here.
