I literally hope Madonna has no effect from performing at the superbowl, hate how she mimed. The only highlight was seeing Nicki Minaj.

Yes! I was expecting something like that - great TV exposure - to increase One Thing sales. :yahoo:

So it's looking likely Will.I.Am will be missing out on going to number one afterall, the gap is too large Imo.

I agree. I can't see will.i.am getting to #1 if he's only #4 now. :( So I think it's only a 2-way battle this week. I think Titanium will be #1 again if it stays 59p for the whole week. If it gets put back up to 99p, I think Gotye will get #1. I'd rather Gotye get #1, as it would be a shame for it to miss out. It'll probably get another chance at #1 somewhere down the line, but we can never be sure.

Ugh I hate people who obsess over miming! The performance was f***ing amazing and of course it was mimed. You can almost see every critic in America on the edge of their seat waiting for a slip up. Look at what happened to Janet.

I just had a thought David Guetta is up for an International Brit Award, could sustain a couple of weeks at #1 with Titanium or even knock himself off with Turn Me On, plus his album is back inside the top 10. Or return back to #1 after DJ Fresh and Emeli battle it out next week, the week after.

It's nice to see Madonna holding up, now it's not an instant fanbase buying, it's more casual buyers kicking in. Maybe she WILL recover after all.

 

Will.i.Am still at #3 but gaining rapidly. Gotye is in dark green again too.

 

To be fair, I really like the Will song, from the first listen it is quite non-event but then you "get" it. I love the instrumental mini-introductions between the verse or middle 8 parts.

I hope Gotye can get to #1 this week, and i think it will if Titanium is put back to 99p. Failing that, i'd love Titanium to get another week. Anything but William!!!!

Both Will.I.Am and Gotye are gaining quite quickly. Gotye was on 0.72 at 11am but is now 0.80 at 1pm. I think its going to be depend how front loaded Will.I.Am is and if Titanium goes back up to 99p (even if it doesnt, I can still see Gotye potentially overtaking it by mid week).

Gotye still 0.18 away from 'Titanium' though and will.i.am approximately 0.24 away - I'd like to think that 'Titanium' will secure the #1 spot for a second week. Although I'd like to see Gotye reach #1, I'd rather not keep having this one-week #1s, we've already had Coldplay, Flo Rida and Cover Drive - at least 'Domino' managed two weeks.

^ How exciting, Lil Wayne grabbing another T40 hit hopefully - will also continue Bruno Mars' streak of T40 records (although his collaboration with Snoop Dogg + Wiz Khalifa looks set to ruin that). Have yet to watch the video, but I'm just glad it's given it a boost, a #91 peak was incredibly unjust.

I'm assuming it's to make it stand out from the regular posts in this thread. If I'm quickly browsing through the thread to find the updates, the light blue makes it easier for me to find it quickly.
