I literally hope Madonna has no effect from performing at the superbowl, hate how she mimed. The only highlight was seeing Nicki Minaj.

It's interesting to see people who are desperate to hear Vogue or Music live. They are both up beat pop - dance songs. Not ballads!! Who cares about miming? Madonna is all about spectacle and THAT was sensational! BEPs sang live last year and they were trashed for sounding rubbish. She can't do any right, singing live or miming!!

Lilygreen & Maguire, is that Jon Lilygreen from Eurovision 2010 :o
So it's looking likely Will.I.Am will be missing out on going to number one afterall, the gap is too large Imo.

09. Lana Del Rey - Born To Die

10. Kelly Clarkson - What Dosen't Kll You

11. David Guetta & Nicki Minaj - Turn Me On

Surprised to see One Direction - One thing looking likely of missing out of the top 10!

Serves him right for holding it back so long, it will be this years Champion and sell 300k only!!

Also after seeing Titanium sold 85k last week and Gotye sold 68k i would love to know if Titaniums slowing and Gotye's increasing, suppose THE sales on Wed update will let us know the answer - another boost for STIUTK would be quality although as a poster said above i would like to see a 2 weeker at no1 so there isnt always 1 week no1s and Titanium would be a great 2 weeker but also this could be Gotye's final chance of no1 with the Brits/Emeli's record - the problems i have LOL

Yeah, I think Champion could've probably sold 400,000 if it was on air, on sale. Although, on the other hand, 300,000 is pretty good for a held-back #2. I'm sure some held-back #2s sell under 150,000 in total (and could've sold 200,000-250,000 if they were on air, on sale).

Is Kworb playing up and redirecting to a YouTube video called "TIZIANO FERRO - L'ultima notte al mondo" for anyone else?

In better news M.I.A. is up to #49 with 'Bad Girls'

And it looks like that Redd/Akon/Snoop Dogg song should make the top 100 this week after all, now up to #59.

Lil Wayne/Bruno finally in the top 40, I think if this can get any radio support at all it could become Lil Wayne's highest peaker as the lead artist (or at least a third top 40 anyway).

Yeah it is. I wondering why it was? haha :P

Has someone hacked the Kworb website? Just tried it myself to see and sure enough up comes the Tizianno Ferro video. What brilliant promotion he must be getting in Italy right now. :heehee:

Titanium reamins 59p in new batch of 59p songs and there is also a remix of Titanium that is 59p.

There are loads of 59p versions of Titanium.

Just seen Titanium is 59p on Amazon as well so it looks like it will be #1 for a second week at this rate.

The no.1 single shouldn't be decided by price!

Well at least we get another track with 2 weeks at #1 instead of the weekly turn over. :P :D

And lol at Kworb

It probably shouldn't be but its always happened throughout time (especially with CD singles). I am actually surprised they have kept it 59p actually as they are #1 now anyway.

Well, it *is* going to be decided by price. We just have to deal with it I guess. And one day it won't be Paradise or Titanium that gets to #1 because of a discount, it'll be a JLS or Pitbull song that does, and we'll STILL have to deal with it. There's no rules against this, even if it does seem a bit unfair. And I think Titanium could've been #1 last week without the price reduction anyway tbh.

I think Turn Me On would've been a better choice to discount. It still needs quite a way to go to get into the top 10. And I would've preferred Gotye to be #1 this week than Titanium again.

I know that this isn't against the rules so I wouldn't call it cheating as such, however I do think it's a rather underhand method to employ, 'unsportsman like behaviour' if you like. And of course if too many tracks end up discounting like this then we'll end up going full circle back to the early 2000s when the CD singles were at reduced price in the first week which helped fuel the 'crash straight in at peak position then plummet' frenzy of the era.

'Somebody that I Used to Know' is a fantastic track, just downloaded it.

The intro to this reminds me of the intro to XTC's 'Senses Working Overtime'.

The no.1 single shouldn't be decided by price!

It just about was for years in the late 90s/early 00s so nothing changes :(
