WE HAVE ENTERED A NEW YEAR OF BJSC, EVERYONE! :cheer:

1. What is your ambition for this year?

2. Do you need to change your style alltogether to acchieve your ambition, or do you think you need to stay true to what you currently have?

Goal is to go Top 15 for me this year in the overall nations :D

As for style, I'm keeping mine for a bit :)

Since you started doing this Ashton has climbed 12 -> 11 -> 4 ^_^

The aim for this year is top3 after missing it last year on the basis of giving Ojnoj 12 too many points. :lol: My entry strategy hasn't changed since the 12th contest and my sound hasn't changed in 41 contests! So all shall be continuing as normal as we head towards the big 5-0.

So, I've gone 5-3-5 so far, what a run! Don't think I'll be able to get another year as a Top 5 country this year.
Well Farahtyn are off to a great start :P Although despite missing the first two contests last year and getting a DNQ in my second contest back, I still managed to finish 14th. Ambition for the year is to crack the top 10, but I want to stay top 15 at the very least.

The only way is down! :D

I don't intend to change my approach at all this year, it's often produced top 10 finishers so far (or admittedly complete flops also!) but it's nice to enter things that you can't be 100% certain of how well they will do. I'm currently thinking of an acoustic number for the next contest to contrast with Foxes.

Ambition: stay in the top 10 all the way through! Well, I've started there...

I plan to keep my style, granted, I went away from it with Nightwish, but I'll just keep sending things I love and hoping they do well with it, although I'm going to try and have a good think about what I'm sending before I do send it.

6th -> 23rd. :drama:

Time to takes the gloves off! :P

32nd > 12th > 26th :P

I have high ambitions to be top 10 this year :blush:

With BJSC getting bigger with each month, I think realistically if I can remain as one of the top 20 most successful nations in 2012 then at least I've managed to be a bit consistant following my 11th place in 2011. I don't think I'll ever be able to compete with the likes of FSR Rontvia, Ashton, Numayania and Kopečka who are bound to be comfortably inside the top 10 of 2012. To be top 10 at the end of 2012 would be incredible.

My style will remain the same - pop with either indie or dance influences.

I think I finished 17th (or something like that) overall last year, so yeah hopefully I can improve upon that. Not off to a good start though :lol:
1-2-1 was my 2009-2011 trajectory, looks like I'm due a slip back to second this year! My ambition would be to stay top three for another year I guess. 3rd is a very nice starting point :D No I'm not going to change my style to achieve this, it's more or less worked since I changed tack with Smack Me back in VI and I've never looked back since! Send a song only if I LOVE it, but try to keep things fresh by switching genres (or at least sub genres!) up every month if possible.
This year my ambition is to achieve at least one Top 5 position again in a contest (like I've already done it 4 times so I can) and to be in the Top 30 at the end of the year. So my ambitions are not high beacuse I think (maybe I'm wrong) for me it's harder to achieve good results because I'm only here for just the contest (and for Eurovision maybe) so I'm not known and don't have friends here. So my aim is to find as many fabulous songs as I can and present them to you :D so I won't change anything this year.
I managed 25th last year only participating in 5 finals so ambition for this year is top 15 but top 20 will suffice aswell. Admittedly the slightly more 'indie' songs I seem to be sending get very mixed results ('Ein' 4th to 'Wintersnow' 21st!) so I plan to have a mixture of styles during 2012. Definitely interested in sending Country, Singer/Songwriter and R'n'B music at some point :)

Our next entry is again another different sound from all my entries so far, but it's still not in English :lol:

It's very Beyonce Halo R&B, I was told R&B don't usually fare well in the contest so I'll make this my test entry to see how it goes :D

Smack Me :wub: What a song. BJSC owes a substantial debt to it.

Who told you? Clearly they missed the R&B block as there was a time when R&B did quite well.

The R'n'B block were around in the old days (Lorikeet, Simondly, Quotosibb et al), I definitely remember dishing a fair bit of pointage their way!

Hasn't the contest turned more "pop-orientated" than before? Anyways, I will attempt R&B to see how it goes, because after that I plan to send rock-pop and see how that does as well. 2012 shall be the year of experiments for me B-)

This is BJSC, what does well one month will probably DNQ the next. Also, Jessica Mauboy won this recently and she's reasonably R&B (although Forget Your Name was more R&B, that still finished 4th)

At the moment, I'm just trying to find a "sound" that appeals to a lot of people but yet love it myself. Can be a struggle at times :lol:
