 5. Twenty Seven Million - Matt Redman & LZ7

I was thinking, it would be so funny if Dappy got stuck at #2 behind that song. I could imagine him getting really angry about it. I don't think he'll mind being beaten by Gotye to be honest, but he'd probably go on some sort of rampage if he got beaten by a song like that.

Listening to Twenty Seven Million, it's actually quite a nice song. It's nice to hear a song from artists that actually have something to say through their music, rather than the usual songs about girls or being in a club (or usually both ).

I remember Dappy saying that you 'have to have good songs to be number 1', I was thinking 'well that's you f***ed then'

He also sent a nasty tweet to my future husband saying he needs singing lessons :( (before you ask who that it is, he is closer to this post than you think :P)

Damn. I think I've heard you joke about your future husband before, but I totally forgot who it was now. Was it Olly Murs?

I really like both of Dappy's songs so far, but it's a bit disappointing to me that Rockstar sounds so similar to No Regrets.

Yes :P

Dappy is a one to talk about singing lessons

Had to Google 'Twenty Seven Million' to understand where this game from - still not a big fan of these campaign songs, it'll peak well this week, disrupt the chart and then fall significantly in its second week - I mean that Leeds United song from 2010, Alex Day, Dominick the Donkey, the X-Factor Finalists - all these attempts to raise charity via music fail in the long run.
Yes :P

To be honest though, he seems to be better at singing than Katy Perry, Lana Del Rey, Rihanna and Britney Spears.

Twenty Seven Million must be some sort of international campaign, because it's popping up all over Europe, close to the top ten in Sweden, which is no mean feat in the peak of Melodifestivalen season (where 9 of the top 10 are entries from it!).
the chart looks so bleh right now. :( here's hoping that nicki can stick around for a bit while there's still not a music video for 'starships' so that she can shoot up when the video is released.

Really shocked to see this new Arctic Monkeys song in the top 15! I'll have to try and hear it tonight.

 12. R U Mine - Arctic Monkeys

There's a big gap to #11 so I'm not sure this will go any higher but wow at it getting this high to begin with. Would be cool if it could go top 40 but obviously it's missed Sunday sales and will probably fall a lot over the week so I'm not sure how likely that is.

M.I.A is #53. I give up on this going top 40. Ugh.

212 is at #73 though which pleases me greatly. Things are coming together for Azealia finally.

I agree. It's such a good song. I really want it top 40. But it keeps deciding to randomly free-fall every few dozen hours.

I think it will make top 40. Radio 1 will probably play it a few times in the next few days I imagine, so it might not fall too fast.

Bloody HELL at Arctic Monkeys. "Crying Lightning" made #3 on iTunes on a Monday release and only made #12 officially so there's pretty much no hope of "R U Mine" going top 10 but top 20 would be excellent.
