Alphabeat are almost ready for a new album, in fact the first single premieres on Monday :D

I actually prefered the second album by far overall (even if they never bettered Fascination), I hope it's along those lines.

Quite interesting in hearing this even though the singles from the last era were nowhere near as good as Fascination/10000 Nights/Boyfriend.

2nd single? What was the first... In terms of their singles:

 

10,000 Nights > DJ > Fascination >>>>> Boyfriend > Hole In My Heart > The Spell >>>> What Is Happening? tbh.

 

I got This Is Alphabeat, but apart from the first 3 singles, it was all a bit shit really. Thus I didn't bother with the second in case the same thing happened. :( What Is Happening? is the only single of theirs that I find average tbf. Keen to hear more!

Agreed that on the whole the second album was better, it did contain my first (and so far only) BJSC winner The Spell after all :wub:

oh alphabeat :wub: I'm unsure of which album I prefer, both had some really strong tracks and some poor ones too. their second album had 'DJ' though, which was fantastic. should have done so much more. :(

The second album was a grower and probably more rewarding ultimately. Count me in!

I love both albums massively but This Is Alphabeat will always be far better for me, so so good, one of my top 30 of all time actually :wub: I've seen them live three times too, which I think is the most I've ever seen one act! Needless to say I'm looking forward to this a lot.

Alphabeat are AMAZING live. When they were announced as Lady Gaga's support I was more excited for them than the main show :lol: And then I promptly booked tickets for their show a few months later! Anders climbed on top of the tower of speakers with his tambourine :wub: Genuinely one of the best gigs I've ever been to.

 

I do prefer the second album as a whole, but if they could put together a whole album on the level of 'Fascination'...

Alphabeat are my guilty pleasure band :P I liked the material from the second album more. Particularly Hole In My Heart and DJ ^_^ and they usually sound good from the live performances I've heard on Youtube, so I'm quite excited to hear this.

Glad to see they're doing a third album! I got the chance to see them live in New York City, they came over to do one show then flew back, needless to say it was a really fun show, can't wait to hear the new song.

I'm surprised are doing another album. Their last album and singles didnt excatly set the charts alight. I do like Alphabeat though and their 2nd album was really good. Looking forward to hearing this.

In all seriousness though, they are responsible for some of the best pop I've heard! Especially 'Fascination' and the entire 'This Is Alphabeat' album, actually. Not too big on the last album, but it was nice enough and had a couple of great songs.
