Maybe Nicki next week if the gap between them closes really fast? That's unlikely though, I'm 95% sure it'll be Gotye again.

 

I agree that we need something else at #1 imo. But at least Somebody That I Used to Know is a great song, so I don't mind that much.

The Glee updates are so exciting.

I never knew Shakira's boyfriend was a footballer. I would've thought she'd have higher aspirations than that. I was thinking maybe a doctor or something.

I know, I do a little weep of joy when we get notified that a glee cover has moved up one or two places in the top 300.

Tell me about it! They bring untold joy to my life. Frankly, who even cares about these other flops like "Gotye" and "Nicki Minaj". Glee is the only thing that matters.

I can see Jls - Proud actually missing number one, as days progress they seem to be getting less relevant, especially with The Wanted & One Direction increasing heaviy in popularity!
I didn't follow the charts in 2008, but it must've been awful if it was slower than this. :lol:

 

The charts have been very slow ever since I've followed them to be honest, but it was much slower in 2011 than in 2009 and 2010 to me. I hope they can speed up again sometime, it can be very boring, and it's annoying having loads of great songs hovering in the 50-200 region for weeks, being kept out of the top 40 by songs that have been there for 5 months like Party Rock Anthem and Who's That Chick? or whatever.

 

By 'kept out', you mean being more popular than the great songs that are supposedly missing out - isn't that how the charts are *supposed* to work? :P

I can see them missing #1 aswell. Lots of charity songs and reality TV show songs have "underperformed" recently.

Ignoring the two 'haters' above because Glee is the best :P
