Yeah not fair to make assumptions about the deletion, its like 1930s germany here if you do.....if it was by someone like gaga or riri there would be all out warn in here!!

No, this is nothing like 1930s Germany, you fool.

That is actually pretty insulting - go and have a look at the history book (or wiki, depends on your choice) and then try and compare the invasion of Poland and Czechoslovakia and perscution of the Jews with an iTunes theread which is pretty leniently moderated considering.

The gap between 4 and 5 was very big that last time LivePopBars updated, so I would imagine it still is, seeing as Elephant has been at #5 for a while now. Would like to see how fast it is catching up with the gap now, I hope it isn't still too big for Alex to do it, I would love Elephant to go top 3.

All risen (second 'Born To Die' only slightly) since 'Video Games' was on DOI.

Next week we could be looking at entries from Alexandra Burke, LMFAO, Azealia Banks, M.I.A., Tyga and Jason Mraz.

I think Alexandra could miss the top 3 officially. It depends how front-loaded she is obviously.

Also, nice that we didn't end up in a massive arguement about songs being held back and falling down the charts quickly this week, like we have done pretty much every other Sunday in the past 6 months.

Its a good debate to have though because its THE main topic of debate within the structure of the charts at the moment imo,the sucess of Gotye and others has underlined it further although ive a feeling we will get alot of one weekers soon enough as STIUTK falls in sales!

It's just annoying. Especially as it's exactly the same points we bring up every week. Everybody is fully aware of the pros and cons. T.H.E., Rockstar, Twilight, etc. would've been MUCH bigger hits if they were released earlier. But they weren't. I like those songs, so it's a shame, but I just have to get over it. I look at the positive side, and at least it makes the charts a bit more fast-paced and interesting, rather than being all negative about it. It means their sales won't reflect how big those songs actually were, since they'll have a lot of sales "missing", but I don't think the charts reflect that well what is popular anyway.

I think we had the arguement a couple of weeks ago because of Dappy, and last week because of Marcus and Tinchy. This week we've got Alexandra, but she's a female releasing an electropop/dance-pop song, so nobody is going to mind her getting a top 10 hit.

And then everybody complained about Dappy free-falling in the first week, but yet the same people all seemed upset that he was still #11 on iTunes after his 2nd week. Do people want him to free-fall or not? Make up your minds!!!

You make good points Eric, my main qualme about the held back releases is that a high entry and a quick fall makes an artists chart narrative very boring and predictable and also that record companies are so reactionary against progress. Thats why the industry is f***ed at the moment because they have been so slow to see the advantages and dangers of the internet and downloads and are 5 years behind what the public want so its not really about the songs at all, although it is annoying when JLS or some equally crap pop group holds out JUST to get to no1 in the charts :(
New Releases:

42. I Won't Give Up - Jason Mraz

Up to #41. Probably Top 40 in the official charts then.

Alex still at #5. So, she's doing a Stooshe this week.

Oh god, now the iTunes thread is being compared to 1930s Germany? I've seen it all...

Anyway, annoying that Alexandra has decided to stall but expected. I thought for a bit that the lack of airplay wouldn't stop her but I guess it will now :(

Looks like Alexandra might not even challenge for top 3 after all - I'm surprised. Does she have any promo lined up for the week?

Kworb still no help but it now has the correct #1  It seems to just be randomly shuffling up the top 100 with each update.

I dont get the appeal, he sounds like a seventies Folk singer.

Elephant better climb to 4 soon.

To me, the resemblance is more like Men At Work.

Video Games is being performed on Dancing On Ice

Brilliant - so there will be a least one song remaining in my  category next Sunday...

Do we not still have iTunes pop bars?

Only nonsense ones. :)

'Rockstar' has STILL not been re-added  It does seem to still be available from the compilation 'Massive R&B Spring 2012' though - is that version in the chart at all?

Oh no at 'The Wolves' disappearing as well :( Ah well, it's already outpeaked 'The Fear' anyway (and indeed 'Keep Your Head Up' to become his highest peaking single :o I thought KYHU got to like #56 for some reason).
