March 5, 201213 yr Fun feat. Janelle Monae - We Are Young Sv6dMFF_yts I must admit its a grower, there is no release date for it yet. It might follow Gotye's lead with 2 weeks plus at #1 I agree this could well be a future #1 - I really like it!

March 6, 201213 yr I might be completely wrong but my gut feeling is that Labrinth's new single is going to be massive. Judging from my above predictions, I have 'Last Time' down as #1 for four weeks. Even if JLS do outsell Labrinth in their first week of release, JLS will tail off really quickly whilst 'Last Time' will most likely climb to no. 1 the following week and stick around a lot longer. That said, I've completely forgotton about Nicki Minaj 'Starships' which could easily end up #1 when the music video is released. I think I'll have to adjust my predictions accordingly. :o If Labrinth stays at #1 for 4 weeks, that be great its beginning to grow on me actually, maybe 3 weeks after JLS as I can't predict that week. Hopefully the Fun track gets a release date after that as it got potential to stay at #1 for a few weeks, that should slow down the weekly #1s. Not sure about Katy Perry yet, just a case if the fake versions of the track will have some effect on her final position.
March 6, 201213 yr I can't see JLS going to #1 with 'Proud'. They missed #1 last year with an X-Factor performance and their last single flopped. Plus if The Saturdays, The Wanted and Robbie Williams failed to go to #1 with their Relief efforts I can't see JLS doing any better.
March 6, 201213 yr Is your peaks for the OA/OS songs your overall peak or just for that week. This week taio cruz is out but the week that the airplay etc will peak will be in april!!
March 6, 201213 yr Author Will be interesting to look back at this after a few weeks to see who predicted what. Think Labrinth should pull the release date ahead a week to almost garuntee a number one.

The latter isn't really comparable since it was already on his album. The point about "Gold Forever" is true but I think JLS have a bigger presence amongst those likely to buy a Sport/Comic Relief single than The Wanted did this time last year.

Even Climax, Girl Gone Wild and Talk That Talk I think could climb to a higher peak. Charlie Brown and Give Me All Your Luvin' have already peaked, I presume.
March 7, 201213 yr So it has a chance of the top spot then! I see Climax by Usher is out on the 18th March - a bit like his last lead single its not exactly OA/OS but being released early by the label - probably round the time the video gets released - makes sense!
March 7, 201213 yr Author Having just heard the plan b track on radio one i have edited mine - There is no way that track isnt going to be HUGE!!!
March 7, 201213 yr I just heard the new Plan B track :( not really feeling it, but it is sending a political message here are the lyrics. Its going to be interesting where the track will chart. VERSE 1 Let's all go on an urban safari we might see some illegal migrants Oi look there's a chav that means council housed and violent He's got a hoodie on give him a hug on second thoughts don't you don't wanna get mugged Oh shit too late that was kinda dumb whose idea was that...stupid... He's got some front, ain't we all be the joker, play the fool What's politics, ain't it all smoke and mirrors, April fools All year round, all in all just another brick in the wall Get away with murder in the schools use four letter swear words coz we're cool We're all drinkers, drug takers every single one of us buns the herb Keep on believing what you read in the papers council estate kids, scum of the earth Think you know how life on a council estate is from everything you've ever read about it or heard Well it's all true, so stay where you're safest there's no need to step foot out the 'burbs Truth is here, we're all disturbed we cheat and lie its so absurd Feed the fear that's what we've learned Fuel the fire Let it burn. CHORUS Oi! I said Oi! What you looking at you little rich boy! We're poor 'round here, run home and lock your door don't come 'round here no more, you could get robbed for Real (yeah) because my manors ill My manors ill For real Yeah you know my manors ill, my manors ill! VERSE 2 You could get lost in this concrete jungle new builds keep springing up outta nowhere Take the wrong turn down a one way junction find yourself in the hood nobody goes there We got an Eco-friendly government they preserve our natural habitat Built an entire Olympic village around where we live without pulling down any flats Give us free money and we don't pay any tax NHS healthcare, yes please many thanks People get stabbed round here there's many shanks nice knowing someone's got our backs when we get attacked Don't bloody give me that I'll lose my temper Who closed down the community centre? I kill time there used to be a member what will I do now 'til September? Schools out, rules out, get your bloody tools out London's burning, I predict a riot Fall in fall out who knows what it's all about What did that chief say? Something bout the kaisers Kids on the street no they never miss a beat never miss a cheap thrill when it comes their way Let's go looting no not Luton the high street's closer cover your face And if we see any rich kids on the way we'll make 'em wish they stayed inside there's a charge for congestion, everybody's gotta pay do what Boris does... rob them blind CHROUS Oi! I said Oi! What you looking at you little rich boy? We're poor 'round here, run home and lock your door! Don't come 'round here no more, you could get robbed for real (yeah) because my manors ill My manors ill For real Yeah you know my manors ill , my manors ill! MIDDLE 8 We've had it with you politicians you bloody rich kids never listen There's no such thing as broken Britain we're just bloody broke in Britain What needs fixing is the system not shop windows down in Brixton Riots on the television you can't put us all in prison! CHORUS Oi! I said Oi! What you looking at you little rich boy? We're poor round here, run home and lock your door! Don't come round here no more, you could get robbed for real (yeah) because my manors ill My manors ill For real Yeah you know my manors ill , my manors ill!
March 7, 201213 yr I just heard the new Plan B track :( not really feeling it, but it is sending a political message here are the lyrics. <snip> I've never been keen on political songs, so I probably wouldn't have liked it, even if hadn't been by Plan B.

March 7, 201213 yr I think its really different and definately sounds like a massive hit Different yes, I give full credit to the guy to write those lyrics, I was expecting something with a beat. Oh well... just have to wait and see what happens.
March 7, 201213 yr I think Alexandra will get to number one but it wont sell a lot in the long run due to its poor airplay etc. I think people underestimate her fanbase for the first week of release. JLS will definately get to number one and probably wont stay around for long either. I think most of the upcoming releases are pretty poor :(
March 7, 201213 yr Once again completely missing the point of a smiley. How so? I used it how I intended.
