Posted March 12, 201213 yr Can we construct a full list, ever since Hold It Against Me 14 months ago it seems like we can't get away from pop songs shoehorning a dubstep breakdown into them somewhere, I'm trying to get a full list to make a playlist on iTunes so if anybody could fill in the gaps for me I'd be grateful. So far I have; Britney Spears - Hold It Against Me Britney Spears feat Ke$ha & Nicki Minaj - Till The World Ends (Remix) Rihanna - You Da One Pixie Lott - Kiss The Stars Charlotte Perrelli/Kate Ryan - Little Braveheart Charlotte Perrelli - In The Sun Daria - Celebrate Danny Saucedo - Amazing Suriya - Forever I B Young Love Generation - Just A Little Bit
March 12, 201213 yr LMFAO 'Sorry For Party Rocking' is a new one too, sounds really out of place though!
March 12, 201213 yr The Saturdays - Do What You Want With Me has a Dupstep sound too it. The Saturdays - Promise Me.
March 12, 201213 yr it seems like we can't get away from pop songs shoehorning a dubstep breakdown into them somewhere, I wish we could, it seems like half of this thread is all my demons of the last 14 months shoehorned into one. I'm horrible at recognising these, but Rachel A - Club Lights?
March 12, 201213 yr Author Hang on a second, this thread's due a dubstep breakdown by now. I'll get Britney the trendsetter on the phone asap.
March 12, 201213 yr Sugababes - Freedom I think calling that a song is stretching things a bit :heehee: Amelle's solo thing 'God Won't Save You Now' has one too. Of all the songs listed here, I think Little Braveheart is by far the best.
March 13, 201213 yr Britney Spears - Till The World Ends I was sat here for like 5 minutes trying to think of where the dubstep bit in TTWE is and then I realised you were talking about the remix haha. I feel as if including Kiss The Stars is stretching a bit - the middle 8 of that is more like Dubstep For Pre-Schoolers or something. I also fail to see dubstep in Swagger Jagger but I don't disagree with anything else in the thread. (I have nothing to add so I'm just going to criticise  ) Edited March 13, 201213 yr by Umi
March 13, 201213 yr Does anyone even know what dub step is looking at these examples? I don't think anyone is under any illusion that the "dubstep" in the songs isn't watered-down. Some are more watered-down than others too.
