Spice Girls - Greatest Hits WAS #73 NOW #78

The Saturdays - 30 Days WAS #11 NOW #12

Why is everyone presuming that Call me maybe is going to get #1, i think Nicki may actually steal it if she drops the video along with the album version.
'Oh My Goodness' to #20 :o Was it used somewhere?

The single's released on Sunday with radio edit, new b-side, remix and acoustic version and Olly's in the middle of all his TV promo and performances so that's why it's rocketing up! I knew it would do better than 'Heart On My Sleeve' anyway, it should hopefully be top 40 at last on Sunday and then top 10 next week! Plus he's number 1 on iTunes in Germany, Switzerland and Luxembourg with 'Heart Skips A Beat'!

Love The Saturdays' new single to stay on topic...pre-ordered my copy this morning! Won't be number 1 though, given it's almost against the laws of science for them to get one :(

I hope Olly doesn't go top 10 next week. Or at least not until Jay-Z/Kanye West, Swedish House Mafia and Azealia Banks have safely secured their places there. :coffee:
Trust Carly to release this Sunday when its a quiet week :drama: it could be a April fool joke :heehee:
Solo wise, Forever and With You were a pretty great duo of solo singles, but overall it has to be No Air, which is one of my favourite songs ever and should have been a #1, especially looking at its long top ten run (pretty standard for 2008 though I guess!)

Oh yes, that's probably my favourite song he's been involved with! One of my favourites ever too actually. I was never really a fan of Chris Brown in that era. Ironically, it's only really since the whole Rihanna incident that his solo material has started to appeal to me. My top 5 would probably be something like Turn Up The Music/I Can Transform Ya/Next To You/She Ain't You/Forever.

24. Call Me Maybe - Carly Rae Jepsen Tribute Team

39. Call Me Maybe - Hit Masters

80. Call Me Maybe - Here's My Number

318. Call Me Maybe (Tribute to Carly Rae Jepsen) - Instant Hit Parade

777. Call Me Maybe (Party Tribute to Carly Rae Jepsen) - Ultimate Party Jams

F**king RIDICULOUS http://i.imgur.com/kujgf.gif

Anyone know what the TV ratings is like for American Idol in the UK? because Nicki Minaj just performed on it and i dont know if that could give her a little boost

The I-Tunes thread is going weekly (for a bit to see how it goes) so NOBODY START A NEW THREAD PLEASE!! A CHART MOD WILL START A NEW ONE ON SUNDAY!!

But...the thrill of getting to start a new iTunes thread is the only thing that gets so many of us through the day. How will we cope?

In other news, I hope The Vaccines manage to stay top 40. Would love to see them get the follow-up hit they so deserve.

It's worth remembering, especially at this time of year, that some had bigger crosses to bear.... :D :D

How do you lot know that call me maybe will go straight to number 1 easily?

Obviously, no-one knows it for sure, but the buzz around the song, the level of promo, and the exception sales of the cover versions, all point that way.

Why would she gain significantly from the video release, given that Katy Perry didn't with hers? Not to mention the fact that Starships has already been charting for a while, thereby using up a good proportion of its lifetime sales potential already.

I don't agree with you. Video releases always push up the songs a lot. Part Of Me was a bit of an exception, not gaining from the video release significantly, although I have to say Part Of Me is not one of Katy's strongest songs imo. So it's stupid to compare Part Of Me's video release to Starships' while there were thousand other songs that had significant gaining after a video release!

Starships have still a lot of potential, it could do a We Found Love/Moves Like Jagger saleswise because it has a summery vibe, easymelody to singalong.
