Why is 'Stronger' suddenly plummeting? It was top 15 for weeks and weeks and now it's fallen to 25 in a few days.

It's been put back to 99p after being 59p for ages.

You me at Six still at #20. :o

I don't particularly love that song but it would be nice to see an Indie group officially top 20 this sunday.

Random comment but it looks like 2012 could be rife for one hit wonders, for the first year in a long time - Alyssa Reid, Gotye, fun. , Carly Rae Jepsen - how many of these does anybody realistically expect to take a second single to the top ten (or even top 40 probably!). Radio are obviously more open to the songs themselves as opposed to just the artists behind them this year.

This. As much as I love "Somebody That I Used To Know" I don't think I could like another song by him, I would prefer it to be a one hit wonder than him having a follow up single flop in at #32 for one week a la Christina Perri

fun. are already in the process of having a 2nd hit in the US to be fair. Granted it's going to be nowhere near as big as We Are Young (that's pretty much impossible ), but it's cilmbing the charts nicely. Alternative music seems to do worse in this country, so they probably won't get a 2nd hit here though.
Gotye will probably struggle for a 2nd hit (or at least one of the same scale), but I think that Kimbra has quite a few more hits in her.

Agreed actually, Settle Down will surely go top 40 here whenever they get around to releasing it (it's on the Record Store Day schedule for 21 April, but I don't know if that coincides with downloads), her album will go top 10 and I think I Look To You with Miami Horror would be a smash if it was promoted.

Emeli Sande singing 'Hope' tonight on Sports Relief. Should see a big impact for performers?
It depends, if theres a load of performers some might not jump as high as expected!

I was surprised when I read she is performing this, would have thought she would do Next To Me again.

"If You Wanna" at #59 after being reduced again, this must have some really decent sales by now.

"Gold On The Ceiling" still sticking around at #50, will plummet when it's put back to full price though :(

"R U Mine?" is back at #40 with no reduction... any ideas why? Re-entry next week please!

Niggas In Paris back in the top 10 :cheer: I hope it can manage a single figure peak although I'm pretty sure it'll drop out of the top 10 officially this week and it might get kicked out of the iTunes top 10 by new releases again if it doesn't get a top 10 effect. (JLS could even knock them out again after Sport Relief).

Disappointing to see 'Proud' out of the top 10 already but the fact it's a far, far better song (one of the best in the chart at the moment) knocking it out lessens that blow.

Looks like the 'Part Of Me' video hasn't had much of an effect so far :o Sean Paul is still at 91.6% and currently gaining on Katy again.

Brilliant to see 'If You Wanna' so high again, hope it can re-enter the official top 100.

On the topic of the one-hit wonders, it's inevitable. Saying that, Gotye could grab another hit with 'Eyes Wide Open', which is a little more uplifting and pop-orientated that 'Somebody That I Used to Know'. Alyssa Reid, on the other hand, I don't see doing much at all bar 'Alone Again' - and even then I found it's appeal very limited.

Will be interesting to see how Cover Drive, StooShe, Marcus Collins and Avicii do with their second attempts at a top 10 single. I'd include Sia on the list too, but David Guetta seems to think she's given up a solo career, instead focusing on the songwriting (which has worked out fine for her thus far).

'N***as in Paris' back in the top 10, where it rightfully belongs. Will probably have fallen to #12 officially though, with Alexandra Burke claiming the #11 spot.

Cover Drive have already had two top ten singles "Twilight" and "Lick Ya Down". I think their new one "Sparks" will go top ten, because Capital love them. :D

Cover Drive's next single will go top 10 easily. It's ACTUALLY QUITE DECENT for a change (and will get the obligatory Capital hammering and maybe R1 support from the start this time).

Marcus Collins will never have another significant hit, Stooshe depends on the song. Avicii could definitely get more hits - he could even fuck off for a few years now and resume hitmaking when he returns, like Benny Benassi and Alex Gaudino.
