I think the new layout has been available for a while if you chose it but now it's become the default. I rather like it, I think it's an improvement.

Can a moderator please delete my last post in this thread (post #46)? I didn't even realise that had gone through. Well, I say "gone through" but considering most of that post was eaten by the forum I guess it didn't exactly. Bizarre.

ANYWAY, so this post looks less random when/if the above post is deleted, I like the new design too. Looks a bit more modern without losing its simplicity and becoming a clunky, difficult to navigate mess. Not sure how I feel about the singles and albums chart being on the same page though - it's a good idea in theory but the two columns don't line up very well which irks me a little bit. I have noticed already though if you follow the links from the artist and songs pages you can still see the singles or albums chart for that particular week on its own though.

D'OH deleted :P

I don't like the new layout that much to be honest, the single and album charts stop being lined up like superbossanova said when you get to single chart entries that don't have covers like the Nicki album tracks and We Are Young Singers. Also, on artist pages, the peak position column being to the right of the weeks on chart column is a bit confusing, I keep getting the numbers mixed up.

Another thing is that the 'browse' section for singles and albums is practically unusable now the artwork shows up for all of them - they don't all show up immediately so you ctrl+F and it jumps down to it only for the page to start instantly 'scrolling up' as the artwork loads so it's almost impossible to click the link until the artwork has loaded down to that point :drama:

However, on the positive side, I think the new layout for song/album pages is a big improvement over the old one and I quite like how the front page now has retro top 5s.

I want the graphs back! :(

The graphs were quite cool but they only ever tracked up to 11 weeks and were limited to just the top 40 so were a bit pointless. Plus on artists with lots of chart entries the graphs started to get a bit cluttered and unreadable.

PLEASE TELL THE CHART STATS OWNER:,

1) If you Click-On the 1970's No.1 Singles, (on his Site), he says that

'Merry Christmas Everybody', by Slade, was the Single with the most

Weeks at No.1, in that Decade. He gives it 15 No.1 Weeks - as he also

does in the List of 1973/1974 No.1's. It actually spent 5 Weeks at No.1.

A 'glich' in his Programe has counted each of its 5 Weeks, 3 times - giving

it 15 Weeks at No.1.

2) The real 'Most Weeks At No.1 Singles' of the 1970's, were:,

A) 'Bohemian Rhapsody' - Queen (1975/1976) = 9 Weeks at No.1

B) 'Mull Of Kintyre/Girls School' - Wings (1977/1978) = 9 Weeks at No.1

C) 'You're The One That I Want' - John Travolta & Olivia Newton-John (1978) = 9 Weeks at No.1

3) For the 1960's, he says that the 8 No.1 Weeks, of 'Wonderful Land', by The Shadows, were the

most Weeks at No.1, for a Single in that Decade. But, it was equal with 2 other 8 Week 1960's No.1's,

that he's not mentioned:,

A) 'It's Now Or Never' - Elvis Presley - 8 Weeks (1960)

B) 'Sugar Sugar' - The Archies - 8 Weeks (1969)

I tried to find a way to contact him, but I couldn't, so I'm hoping that someone here can do so.

You could try posting something in the Chart Errors section in the forum.

I think the layout is so pretty. Chartstats is definitely my site of choix when it comes to chart runs. It's always been pretty accurate for me!

Suedehead2 - I've tried to Sign In/Register to Post about the mistakes that I've

found, but, it won't let me Sign In - or Register. Nothing happens each time I try.

That's why I asked if anyone here could point out the errors, (that I've found),

instead of me.

Well if anyone has the rest of the top 75 albums chart for those years, then send it to him! If you go to the contact page and say you've got some chart data to send you should be able to find some way to get it to him as an e-mail attachment or some sort. This is what I did when I sent him some data a few years back.

Apologies for the slight necro! I just went to the chartstats site for the first time since he changed over to the new site and noticed the missing data for 1999-2000. I have the top75 album charts that he is missing from 25/12/1999 - 10/06/2000 and was trying to find the contact info for him, but the Contact option seems to be missing from the new site and registering isn't working either :( Then a Google search led me here! If anyone does have any contact info for him, please let me know and I'll send him the missing data.

I did. But to post on the forums you have to register...and the registration isn't working...and looking back at the previous few posts, it hasn't been working for a few months :(

I love Chart Stats! They haven't uploaded some of the single covers though. :arrr:

UPDATE: The registration problem has been rectified! While logging on I was faced with a blank screen for a seconds, but it went through ok.

There is a general invitation to help out with uploading singles covers.
