the fat man in this video always annoyed me so much

That's definitely NOT a forgotten classic! It's one of the best pieces of cheese that the 00s produced! And the first single that I ever bought  Great song :D

My favourite Jamie T song is Chaka Demus - shame that flopped in at something like #29 after four top 15 hits and he's pretty much vanished since then :(
 Pity they just... never bothered to release a follow up.

I don't get it though. In no way is Babycakes forgotten. It may not be remembered for the right reasons by some people, but still.

Both "Sheila" and "Sticks and Stones" are brilliant by Jamie T, the latter really should have been the track to make his second album huge.

Jamie T - Calm Down Dearest is a tuuuuuuuuune.

In the same vein you have Jack Penate 'Torn On The Platform' which reached number 7

Jack Peñate is in a very similar vein to Just Jack and not only because of the name. A biggish top 10 hit, another top 40 and one more top 75 in 2007 with a top 10 album, then a less successful album and two more top 40 hits in 2009.

I think Chaka Demus got to #23, which probably isn't bad (it doesn't seem like a commercial-sounding song to me). I really hope he makes a return soon though!

Been listening to that loads lately :)

I wonder did anyone buy the album and would they recommend it?

Lou Reed - Satellite Of Love '04

BIZAAAARRE. I think I was too young at the time to really recognise Lou Reed and double take at how odd a song this was.

Not only is it a "Forgotten top ten hit" but it's easily one of the more forgettable number 1's of the 2000's

I used to love it back in 2004! Brings back a few memories. But it will never top 'Mesmerize' (Which seems to be the more fondly remembered track from the Ja Rule/Ashanti duo. Yes 'Always On Time' got top 10 and spent 4 weeks there, but I think 'Mesmerize' is definitely the more unforgotten track.)

I miss Ja Rule/Ashanti songs. Mesmerized and Always on Time were also great but Wonderful is my fav. even though Ashanti has literally 2 lines.

Remember that week in 2000 where the top 6 were all new entries? This entered at #10 that week.

This was the #6

And this was the biggest threat to Craig David's Fill Me for the top spot

Airwave is one of my favourite songs ever, and provided the basis for another one - True Love Never Dies by Flip & Fill/Kelly Llorenna, so glad that it crept into that very busy top ten.

Another fairly recent one that popped up in my mind, this was actually one of my top ten favourite songs of 2008 but I literally haven't heard it anywhere other than if I've played it since, and considering it went to #2 I guess that's fairly surprising...

One of the best chart weeks ever!! I still remember this week and i knew Craig David for the first time. I think that "Deeper Shade Of Blue" is one of the best tracks of Steps and Richard Ashcroft had a very decent song (A Song For The Lovers)!!!

The only UK top 10 hit in French of 21st century to date...

I just found Alex Parks - Maybe That's What It Takes. It was No.3 in 2003!! It was a decent song!! I didn't hear it when it came out. I learned by chance last year. She was so good but she didn't manage nothing better than her first song.

I can think of a few off hand:

Phixx - "Hold On Me" #10 in October 2003. Never knew why this was not #1. Video was played to death on the music channels, catchy chorus and they could all sing.

V were a boyband who were semi-popular in 2004. "Blood Sweat and Tears" and "Hip to Hip/Can You Feel It" were top 10s. This was a boyband in it's highest quality! MUCH better than 1D/JLS.

Chipmunk with "Diamond Rings"....#6 in 2009....this features Emeli Sande! I knew that girl would be big.

You need to be visiting my boy band thread!

V were good and under appreciated. I was gutted when 'You Stood Up' missed the top 10! :drama:

Phixx and 'Hold On Me' is very, now. It'd smash if it was released a couple of years ago instead! Such a good song.
