Posted March 29, 201213 yr Ladies and gentlemen, can I please have your attention? I've just been handed an urgent and horrifying news story. And I need all of you to stop what you're doing and listen! MrNA7RjU91I
March 29, 201213 yr YES YES YES! As long as Brick is back, I will be more than happy! I also get the feeling that this will break records for a comedy sequel when it's released. What is the record at the moment? Is it one of the 'American Pie' sequels or 'Hangover 2'?
March 29, 201213 yr Author YES YES YES! As long as Brick is back, I will be more than happy! I also get the feeling that this will break records for a comedy sequel when it's released. What is the record at the moment? Is it one of the 'American Pie' sequels or 'Hangover 2'? "Hangover Part II" grossed $581 million, including $178 million in its first weekend which is the highest for any comedy film, let alone any sequel. To put that into perspective, "Anchorman" only grossed $90 million in total. The sequel will probably beat that in its opening weekend (which is an achievement in itself) but I doubt it'll touch the record.
March 29, 201213 yr 'Anchorman' seemed to get buzz once the DVD was released though. It kind of grew in popularity and this has been posted all over my facebook news feed today. There is a demand for it.
March 29, 201213 yr Oh good god no! Will Farrell just isn't funny at all and Anchorman was pedestrian and dull at best. :(
May 21, 201312 yr New teaser! mZ-JX-7B3uM Just the same as the other one, but still ridiculously excited!
October 26, 201311 yr The first one was utter trash, I only stuck with it till the end because of Christina Applegate. This one looks just as awful.
December 17, 201311 yr Fans of the first one should love this. I did. It dragged a bit toward the middle-end a little (as soon as it got to being just about Ron surprisingly), but it's SO funny. Steve Carrell makes it!
January 8, 201411 yr Author I completely forgot to post in this when I saw it. I was quite glad they were showing the first one on TV the night before, it reminded me that it's not quite as laugh-out-loud constantly amazing as YouTube clips would have you believe. This one's the same, there's some fantastic one liners ("Who's Julius Caesar? You know I don't follow the NBA!") and a couple of old tricks that get trotted out again are actually done really well (the big fight actually works with the underlining satire of the whole film) but it never quite reaches top gear. Still very funny though and with such a silly plot the length doesn't particularly matter, it just equates to more laughs for your money.
January 16, 201411 yr Really funny movie! But gets a lil bit over the top towards the end :P those of u who have seen it will know what I mean hehee
March 2, 201411 yr Re-released for one more week in a "super sized" version! 763 new jokes! :D g05xOZ7dEQU THIS WEEK ONLY :D
March 2, 201411 yr I preferred the 'original' Anchorman 2 tbh. A lot of the funniest stuff from the normal version was omitted. :(
March 3, 201411 yr I'm surprised at how poorly this actually did at the box office, only about $170 million in total. I never expected it to be MASSIVE but I was still expecting a bit more considering that the first film is so loved by virtually everyone!
