Lissie - "Go Your Own Way" #58.

Just realised this was charting. It's a Fleetwood Mac cover that's featured on the new Twinning's Tea Advert.

Entered the chart on the week ending March 17, 2012: (67-54-64-66-xx-77-)

It didn't click with me at first, but listening to the full track really made me appreciate the track - hoping it can somehow crack the top 40 given the recent success of all these advert-featured tracks; it's already become Lissie's highest peaking single - but deserves a much better peak than #54.

Marina & The Diamonds top 10 please, great performance

Jessie J next week.

'Feel The Love' by Rudimental feat. John Newman is up to #47 on iTunes albums and ahead of Rita Ora now - released on Sunday, potential surprise hit? :o I do hope so.

iTunes says its released on 28 May. Has it been moved forward?

Oh, whoops :kink: I may have read the date wrong.

 Haha. Could still be a hit though :P

Personally I'm glad we don't have access to the Top 1000 anymore.

It will put a stop to posts like 'Delta Goodrem up 5 places to #845, OMG.' which last week was frankly ANNOYING.

whilst I COMPLETELY agree with you in that sense, its still a shame - I always found it interesting how songs are holding up that have been out a few years, particularly a comparison to this time last year

I'm VERY surprised people don't think Rita Ora will go to number 1! I will be shocked if its not huge personally! Tulisa could stall at 2, but I really think Call Me Maybe's time is coming to an end, its lead is nowhere near as big any more

marina was fantastic on graham norton, hopefully she'll be rising up soon, maybe even into the top 10 at long last! 'primadonna' is also being used on the advert for bbc3's lip service, so that could give it a boost too.

now would just be an ideal time to reduce the price of the song down to 59p.

Gotye looks like being knocked out even before Tulisa releases! Ah well, Primadonna is good too, I do hope it can finally give her a top 10 placing now.

But poor Gotye. He'll overtake Titanium's 2012 record for top 10 weeks on Sunday (14th week, while Titanium had 13) but fecking Moves Like Jagger will never be beaten for the decade record at this rate (16) <_< Carly Rae Jepsen is the next possible candidate it seems! Or maybe fun. In fact it's probably more likely to be fun. as that was released and went straight to the top 10 when it had negligible airplay.

I find Moves Like Jagger pretty average aswell (I just egg it on because of Christina ), but I'm not really sure if I want anything to beat its record. Because if so, it means they'll match or better the Black Eyed Peas's record for the century, which I don't want to happen.
The explicit version of '212' has now been re-added and is back up to #91 so far (clean version at #16). Will be interesting to see if the two versions will swap around again now, I can't see there'd be THAT much demand for the clean version, the only reason it's ahead now is because the explicit one was deleted so there was no choice for a while.

im hoping marina will be a comfortable #1 in the albums next week

Marina was brill on graham norton, top 10 please!will jessie j perform next week or will she be as a guest?shes big now shes on the voice, no way they will just gave her singing!

A selection of rambling comments on songs in the top 100:

15. Level Up (Radio Edit) - Sway

This seems to be holding up just fine now - perhaps it won't end up being one for the forgotten top 10 hits list after all!

17. Greyhound - Swedish House Mafia

I see this has climbed in today's (yesterday's but I haven't gone to bed yet :P) mids, I hope it can return to the top 20 next week and eventually make its way into the top 10 as unlikely as that is. They really need to release a radio edit/shorter version of this!

39. Turn My Swag On (Remix) - Alexa Goddard

BGT songs have usually plummeted by this point so I'm very surprised to see this still in the top 40 (the top version of Dakota to compare is now down to #66 (:()) But I think Stereophonics will be comfortably top 40 on Sunday anyhow with their combined versions whereas Alexa only has one version so will miss out as she never got high enough to go top 40 again officially.

45. Together In Electric Dreams - The Human League

This should still have other versions around I'd hope, as the ad is still on TV, so if this stays 59p all of next week it could return to the top 40 after all. Not gonna get my hopes up too much though :P

49. Hurt - Johnny Cash

Experiencing the usual ad song fluctuations it seems, I hope this can manage a top 40 re-entry at some point during the ad's run. Gorgeous cover, probably the best cover version ever recorded

60. Bangarang (feat. Sirah) - Skrillex

Could still give Skrillex a second top 40 hit after all now it's climbing again and it finally has Radio 1 support.

65. Breath of Life - Florence + the Machine

Ah, here's the new F+TM song someone mentioned earlier! Must hear this. Pleasing to see this doing reasonably well so far. I wonder if it'll shoot up to the top 10 a la 'What The Water Gave Me', annoying midweek release and all?

70. Heartbeat - Childish Gambino

Finally picking up the pace a bit it seems :D

84. Too Close (Dubstep Remix) - Dubstep Re-Mix Squad

86. Too Close - Alex Clare

How has a fake version actually managed to OVERTAKE a real version weeks after release? Bizarre.

95. Hold On - Alabama Shakes

Could still become a top 100 hit for them (it missed out when it had its initial top 100 run on iTunes).

99. Make a Beast of Myself - Twin Atlantic

Can't believe these guys look like they could get a second top 100 hit, especially as their album hasn't even done that well (peaked at #35 and so far only four weeks top 100)! This one isn't even 59p like 'Free' was (although it is 79p).

Even if it stayed in the top 40 for 3 months people on Buzzjack would forget it. I've heard some people on here even say songs like Number 1 are forgotten.

And not that it matters much, but Alexa Goddard does actually have more than one version. An acoustic version was in the top 1000 earlier, but obviously I can't check where it is now. :drama:
