There's hundreds of amazing rap remixes of Skream's remix of In For the Kill on Youtube, it seems to be a popular choice to sample. I hope it sounds like one of these:

Watching those videos reminds me of watching channel u the way that it used to be.

I never watched any of those sort of channels when I was younger. :( I soooooo wish I could go back in time and somehow force my parents to get Sky or whatever.

I guess, like with a lot of things, the Internet has taken over that niche now.

I don't think he was saying they were sluts if you read it again.

I like how you didn't question Rihanna and... Duffy though

Oh ok.

Tulisa continues the pattern of solo singers becoming bigger than the groups they were from (Justin, Beyonce)....

Please, are you really comparing Tulisa's success with Justin Timberlake and Beyoncé? are you taking the piss? oh, and some people wouldn't agree that Beyoné is bigger than Destiny's Child at their biggest time, at least in sales she isn't.

So basically Carly Rae Jepsen vs. most of the population.

Here's the tweet that started it all:

LMAO. I really despise her! She's such an unlikeable human being and she's got one of those faces that you just want to ram into a wall! Always found her to be vile and never really liked any of her music bar 'Bulletproof' (and 'In For The Kill' is only tolerable in the Skream remix form!).

lmfao, and NSync had 2 diamond albums in the states and sold far more in one era than in Justin's entire solo career. What a weird thing to say. What Justin and Beyonce have in common is that they were the lead singers and were the breakout solo stars of their group, but it's looking like all of them may surpass the group.

In the UK, Justin & Beyonce were far bigger than their groups. "I Am Sasha Fierce" and "Dangerously In Love" have both outsold "Survivor", DC's biggest seller.
After having only 1 new entry in last week's chart, we could have 6 new entries in this week's UK top 40 chart: Tulisa, Cover Drive, Lana Del Rey, Sub Focus, Flux Pavilion and Avicii. That's great!

Not sure if Flux Pavilion and Avicii are going to make it at this point, but I hope they do!

 9. Drive By - Train

 10. Starships - Nicki Minaj

Ah, 'Drive By' should hopefully outpeak 'Drops Of Jupiter (Tell Me)' this week anyway - I thought they had missed their chance after landing at #10 last week but clearly not :P

Marina could overtake Nicki soon and get into the top 10!
Elly Jackson is a horrible excuse for a woman. She's so up herself and she probably doesn't want to release anything because she knows it'll flop on its arse. ^_^

 I love all this Elly hate. It makes me love her so much more knowing how much of a bitch she is (kind of like Madonna in some interviews). If she really feels like the music industry is dieing, she should return with a killer album and set the record straight!

They would definitely be a welcome return to the charts

Anyway, according to kworb, Marina has really closed the gap on Nicki. I'm so annoyed that Radio 1 dropped her off the playlist, and STILL have Nicki on it

I think it's quite laughable that someone has compared Tulisa going solo to Justin and Beyonce, when Tulisa has not had any international success, outside of the UK not many people know who she is, Justin and Beyonce never had that problem and they are super talented and mega stars outright, so far this year I have not been impressed with the majority of the songs hitting #1.

The trouble with La Roux was that they didn't really have enough material for their debut album. Outside the excellent first two singles, the other songs were very weak and just dressed up with the same production as "In For The Kill" and "Bulletproof".

Edit - by complete coincidence "Colourless Colour" has just come on my random Winamp playlist generator to confirm the above.

1. Tulisa - 1.00

2. Carly - 0.60 :cheer:

That figure might be slightly skewed though. Carly might be selling another 90k this week whilst Tulisa is heading for something like 140k. Chances are by the end of this week, Carly will have closed the gap significantly as Tulisa's sales tail off (the joys of the held back release :D ).

Really? I thought the album was sublime. I'm Not Your Toy was an odd choice for a single, but the album had a few hidden gems, my favourite non-single being Cover My Eyes

Having said that, there were some complete waste songs on the album too.

Exactly, good on her getting to no1 and all that but the sales will drop dramatically in weeks 2 - and skew the popularity of the song imo. If it was OA/OS it would have charted at no2 and sold 250k more in sales imo!!
