I already have. I used Lose Yourself first, a song where the entire song rhymes with itself. I'm just saying EVEN Candy Shop has better rhyming than most of what I've read of Shakespeare. I don't think most people want to hear this disucssion anymore, so just Google some Shakespeare text, look at the rhymes, and compare that to the rhymes in one of 50's verses in Candy Shop. You'll see what I mean. But as someone else mentioned, Shakespeare wasn't trying to rhyme anyway.

"Lose Yourself" is good, I can agree with that. I don't need to google any Shakespeare text (I've got the collected Complete Works on my bookshelf), and no rhyming in "Candy Shop" comes remotely close to any of Shakespeare's sonnets for example.

Is it likely that 'Don't Stop Believin' by Glee Cast will make it? Because the Journey version was recently featured and if I remember correctly, the Glee version peaked higher in the 2010 end of year chart [and in the official chart].

I truly adore Give Me Everything

Amazing on A Night Out!

The charts are a lot less about where songs peak anymore.

28. Enrique Iglesias - Hero (2001) (#1)

Fantastic and brings back so many memories.

I think the majority of people would have committed suicide if a Glee song sold over 900k! :P

Woah, GME sold this much? :o Meh to the song though.

I very much doubt it, Journey has been trickle selling for YEARS and iirc stuck around a bit longer, so it has sold a considerable amount more.

The Glee Cast version was probably not far out of the top 150 I think. But Journey sold a lot more overall because of the pre-2010 sales and the post-2010 sales were much higher.

I think now we're this high up I'm unlikely to hate anything bar the odd charity or novelty record. As proved by Carly Rae Jepsen recently, to sell this well these days you need quite a broad base of appeal.

It won't, Glee sold more in 2010, but Journey have 2009 and 2011 sales that boosted them past it

Here we go! Am I in too deep, have I lost my mind, I don't care you're here tonight... :D

Rolling in the Deep is a lot more interesting than the studio version of Someone like You. If it wasn't for the arresting nature of Brits performance I'd have no interest in it at all.
Does anyone know why Nov 2004 seems to be the default date for videos from 2000-2004 on the radio 1 website ?

27. Lady Gaga - Bad Romance (2009) (#1)

Surely this deserved to be top 20? Arguably my favorite song from Gaga.

Perhaps there were so few songs from 2004 in there that they felt sorry for the year and thought they'd add a few themselves.

Seriously though, I don't know. It's very strange.
