This is gonna be HUGE, there's no doubt about it. Its been big in Australia, #3 and now 4 times platinium. Its also done well in several European countries like Germany and Austria where it got to #3. This is easily going top 5 here, I'd even dare say its a #1 contender if given the right exposure (some may argue it hasn't gone to #1 elsewhere but neither had songs like Titanium and that was a HUGE #1 here).

Interestingly its already getting airplay in Ireland and is top 40 there on airplay which is always a good indication. I reckon it'll be released mid-late March / early April.

This is a mammoth hit waiting to happen no matter how long its held back...unfortunately. I hate it.

I get the feeling this will do similar things to Bodyrox 'Yeah, Yeah'. It'll sell more (due to todays climate being a lot higher, obviously) but I reckon it'll have a similar sort of chart run. I hope it can be bigger than that though... (especially as dance music like this is becoming big again!)

EDIT: Maybe not. I always thought 'Yeah, Yeah' spent more weeks inside the top 10 with 3 or 4 weeks at number 2  Turns out it went 11-2-6-10-... I think a top 10 run of... 2-2-5-7-8-9-10-... is more likely for this.

How this only just became a hit in Holland is one hell of a question for me

EDIT: Release date - 17th of March

Glad it finally has a release date, I do hope this is big and it gets Radio 1 playlisted.

The song is already #4 on Irish itunes which is always a good sign!

Hopefully it'll be a big hit, my favourite review of it so far:

"Sounds like Charli XCX wrote the song while listening to Hello in a slaughterhouse" :D

I really hope this song explodes when it's released.

If it's held back, I can see it going straight to #1 if it has the expected amount of exposure (i.e. loads!) but if it's released OA/OS or early for whatever reason, I can see it doing a "Titanium" or just being an absolutely huge top 3 hit. It's too catchy to ignore!

From BBC Radio 1's official Twitter:

. @iconapop 'I Love It' What do you lot think? … #R1Playlist

Guessing this means it's getting playlisted tonight! :cheer:

They're "coming back to it next week". :nocheer:

Yeah I saw the tweet pretty soon after I posted that :( At least it's on their radar!

Urgh, why is it getting released the 17th March! Hopefully it dosen't manage to go number one!

I don't like this whole announcing what they're wanting to playlist etc.. I think they're too easily influenced by the ignorant, hipster-lite fans. For example, they've playlisted most (all?) of Ke$ha's stuff, but keep holding off on 'C'mon', despite 'Die Young' being a big enough hit for them to continue playlisting her. The comments all come from people who probably just see her name and are like "ew NO!!1!11"!"232!!"

Maybe I'm just bitter.

Great to see this has finally got a release date, it'll be interesting to see how it does on pre-orders!! :D Shame its the same week as The Saturdays though, but I guess there's a chance 'I Love It' could be released earlier if there is a high demand!

I agree with you. They have no valid reason to deny Ke$ha of the playlist

It's released the same week as The Sats?! I really hope it does make number one now.
