Didn't the same thing happen with 'Alors On Danse' in 2010? They played Stromae on some review show, the reviewers weren't keen (naturally, they always have some music snobs review so anything remotely commercial gets snubbed -_- ). It was still added to their c-list that same week though so who knows. :D

The one review show I listened to they raved about "What Makes You Beautiful" and said that the latest Foo Fighters single was dull and they should be making songs like WMYB, so if it's the same show I wouldn't assume that they won't like it.

I've not listened to the review show before but I'm assuming they usually wouldn't favour the big Eurodance anthems?

 

I don't agree with their argument that it sounds like the sort of thing that would be huge all over Europe but not in the UK. It's already gone to #1 on iTunes solely off the back of a couple of performances (I'd love to see a previously unheard song performed on X Factor, which gets more viewers than Eurovision, go straight to #1!), what more proof do they need? :lol:

I think it's looking more and more likely to happen! Their Twitter account was retweeting all the positive things about it and encouraging people to get into it just after the play on Radio 1.

I'm hoping the promo can help it get top3 in the officially chart - it seems number 1 is impossible now with no music video on the tv - hardly being played on the radio, no physical cd and no reviews in magazines... I suspect it will be lucky to still be iTunes top 10 come Sunday

I think the feed's reverted. Mine says that too but also has Die In Your Arms at #15 instead of #11. It reverted like this earlier too...

Shocking state of affairs that an iTunes #1 has amassed only 30 plays in the country, UK media need to get over their fear of Eurovision and recognise when a song is popular.
