Just because all Italian viewers' minds are in sync with each other by some kind of WIRELESS CONNECTION. So one of them decides to not vote for Sweden and everyone else agrees.

PLAUSIBLE INDEED.

Well I was referring to their jury voters...

So proud to see Loreen doing well <3 although it's not my personal favourite from the contest, it's definitely the right track to bring it some more credibility with the general public!
Now also #1 on Amazon's MP3 UK chart :w00t:

She's also #1 on Sainsbury's MP3 chart, not that that will count for much. Could help that she's only 59p on there when everything else seems to be 89p.

I'm surprised it's not doing better in Australia!

The viewing figures aren't that high in Australia. It airs on SBS which is the least watched of the major networks (ABC 1/2, 7, 9 & 10). Top 20 is a monumental achievement for the other side of the world.

Insane.

Typical that of all countries, 'Euphoria' is going down on UK iTunes.

Agree with Phil, hopefully it'll hold steady. Getting more radio airplay would be a major help too.

It's still number two in the UK! Hardly a flop now is it?! I'll be pleased if she's top five by Sunday. Everyone knows the UK have dire music charts, and utter shite gets to number one, so it's hardly surprising that a song that's doing well all over Europe will just miss out for us.
Last time I checked it was top 40 on the Canadian dance charts too :D
22 i tunes number 1 is incredible, i wonder how many offical number 1's though it will translate it, i have thought how great it would be to say that 22 countries all offcally have the same number 1.

It's a rare thing. The only other singles I can think of that were no. 1 in at least 22 countries at the same time were Elton John 'Candle In The Wind 1997', Madonna 'Hung Up' and Shakira feat. Wyclef Jean 'Hips Don't Lie'.

Also that said, some of those countries I can't find an official singles chart. They only have airplay charts for some of them. :(

If it holds on she should go top3 to be the biggest Scandinavian hit since Agnes.

That depends on some radio play keeping it top3 on iTunes though. It should get radio play, it's easily the most internationally accessible and least 'cheesy' winner since I've been following the contest. If anything is going to cross over it's Euphoria.

I could've sworn Satellite was way higher than #19 on iTunes, though? Maybe I'm thinking of something else. :drama:

Her interview on Radio 1

MY GOD, Scott Mills was at Eurovision and read out the UK votes and STILL gets facts wrong!

'You were in the same semi as the Moldovan guy with the trumpet'

'The UK gave you ten points'

:manson:

This is why people should just boycott Radio 1. They really are useless. I sort of feel sorry for Scott Mills, and most Radio 1 DJ's, as I suspect he was just reading off cue cards, rather than talking off the top of his head.

Whoever does the research at Radio 1 needs to be sacked. I just get the impression somebody works at Radio 1 who doesn't have the slightest bit of interest in music. Perhaps someone who has a relative who is "higher up" at Radio 1 HQ and got the job by default.

** le unemployment sigh **

Either that, or Scott Mills has Eurovision Alzheimers.

Listening to this interview, I've decided to watch more of her interviews, and for somebody who's first language isn't even English, I love her personality and how she seems to laugh at everything.
