Palmouth are the newest addition to the BBU (Buzzjack Broadcasting Union). Although unable to take part for a while, it's still esstential to begin planning for future contests in order to do well.

 

So if you would like to help us do well in our first contest in about a year's time, please suggest songs for our national final, which takes place in in September.

 

Let's bring the contest home to Heartland.

At this moment, songs I wish to enter are all doing well in the charts and are therefore ineigble, like Tulisa's Young, Kylie's Timebomb and Alex Claire's Too Close.

 

It is hard to find new talent at this time, so a new release from a heard of artist might be acceptable.

There is a veto system so any uninspired and cheap entry will be banned. Basically anything mainstream will be banned or artists who are future hit artists/songs will be prohibited.

 

I suggest you go searching through music blogs or some sort and try to gather an unknown entry from there. :D

The first contest you will be eligible for is the 51st one in January. I suggest you spend that time finding unknown and inspired new talent. As one of the mods of this forum I can guarantee that songs like the three you mentioned would be vetoed instantly.

It's still a bit early giving suggestions when it's a while until your proper debut. I can give you some suggestions in September :) But you would probably have found something by then! :D

For those of you wondering, I chose September as the date so that we can find 25 songs, and have a pre-selection semis and finals to choose one. It will be easy to compare and vote rather than pick one at random.

 

I have one contender already. I heard it on Radio 1 Friday night. I don't know what it was called though. The genre, apparently, is Dirty Dutch.

You can put in contenders for your entry but I don't think it's allowed to actually reveal what entry you chosen in the end until the semi-final voting opens.

Nothing so far...... And we're 3 months away from the pre-selection thing.

 

 

I'm thinking of sending a song from France for our debut. It's doing well on the French chart ATM, but it's definatley not gonna chart here. It's a group with some good tracks out there ATM, and would do rather well. So I'll probably send them.

I have a couple of contenders on my list for January. Songs from France, Belgium and the UK are expected to complete. I won't name any yet though.
