95. One Direction - More Than This (I think this might miss the top 20 at the rate it's going at)

 

As far as I know, it's not intended as a proper single like WMYB, GBY and One Thing were. It's not getting an EP nor a physical release, and I think the video was only released to promote their tour DVD, so I don't think they're at all bothered by the performance of this in the chart.

So is Gary Barlow going to make Top 5 do we think? I'm thinking anything but #1 is a flop given the absolute saturation of the Jubilee. It will no doubt plummet after Monday as well so doubt it will have long term sales either.

Climbing nicely, could this be another C'mon-sized hit for Tiësto? Nice to see Luciana back in the chart as well. And Wolfgang Gartner - hopefully this should finally give him a top 40 hit after 'Forever' just missed at at #43 :(

Colour me impressed that Eurovision now aired a week ago and Euphoria is still top five on iTunes with minimal airplay/TV support to prop it up, I wonder if it's started being played in the clubs yet?

One again I seem to be out of the loop. :rolleyes: I had no idea this song was just another opportunistic cover version (though given who the original is by, it shouldn't surprise you that I hadn't heard it :P )

 

As for the level of popularity indicated by the fake - it doesn't seem to be performing much different from the Maroon 5 fake (which was apparently recently deleted), so I don't think any conclusions can really be drawn about eventual chart positions.

Have you heard their track Balloon Up? :o I can't wait for the album D**k! Can You Blow My are awesome. :wub:
