I love Niall Horan, he did a lovely show last year with the RTE orchestra , he was really good

He always seems like a lovely person. To be honest all the One D boys look like nice people.

Good on Guy for his album. B-)

I'm surprised he's only picked the RW co-writes though. He could have put in a couple of tracks that he wrote with other people to get away from the Robbie link. He's worked with loads hasn't he. although I suppose if he's playing the songs, there are no lyrics so in essence aren't co-writes. Do you think that's how it works?

Maybe it is just what Guy & Robbie agreed on , they are certainly keeping their options open & not keeping to the norm, the musical is the most exciting thing for me as it is something completely different plus the fact they are not just dancing to their own tune, they had to write especially for the show so I think that is interesting

He's a down to earth lad , shuns the limelight & just wants to get on with his music, I think he is a lovely singer ...

Musician Guy Chambers - who is Robbie Williams frequent songwriting partner - is releasing his first ever solo album, 'Go Gentle Into The Light'

Guy Chambers is releasing his first ever solo album.

The 56-year-old songwriter – who is most famous for penning Robbie Williams' biggest hits – has announced he is releasing 'Go Gentle Into The Light' on May 3.

The LP will be comprised of a host of tracks originally recorded by Robbie, 45, played as piano instrumentals by Chambers.

He recorded all the music on his 55th birthday last year in a single session at the world famous Abbey Road Studios in London.

Speaking about the record, Chambers said: "I chose the music that I thought would lend itself to solo piano, they were not chosen as part of a greatest hits exercise. I learnt a lot about the songs.

"I thought it would be nice for them to be heard in their pure melodic form. It was a little gift to myself."

The album will be preceded by the single 'The Road To Mandalay' and other songs on the tracklist include 'Go Gentle', 'No Regrets', 'Angels' and 'Millennium'.

As well as his ongoing songwriting relationship with Robbie, Chambers has also penned hits for a host of major music stars such as Kylie Minogue, James Blunt, Mel C, Katie Melua, Katy B and John Newman.

Following an 11-year break which began in 2002, Robbie and Chambers reunited to work together again in 2013 with the release of the former Take That man's 10th studio album 'Swings Both Ways'.

The acclaimed musician acted as musical director on Robbie's 2015 'Let Me Entertain You Tour' and was co-writer and producer on his 2016 LP 'The Heavy Entertainment Show'.

The pair most recently penned the music and songs for upcoming stage musical 'The Boy In The Dress' – which is an adaptation of David Walliams' children's novel of the same name.

The songs from the show are also set to be released as an album

Guy Chambers 'Go Gentle Into The Light' tracklist:

1. 'The Road To Mandalay'

2. 'Heaven From Here'

3. 'Go Gentle'

4. 'Supreme'

5. 'Grace'

6. 'Better Man'

7. 'No Regrets'

8. 'Feel'

9. 'Angels'

10. 'Millennium'

11. 'Eternity'

I always happy to get something new from guys around Robbie and definitely Guy is one of them.

Guy's album is adding to their joint legacy and it's another opportunity for everybody of us to hear all these familiar songs/music in a different way.

You know, it needs sometimes because we could be tired from old stuff from time to time.

I like the album's cover. I admit it has the same basic style in fonts as Robbie's releases.

I also think Guy could be add not only songs he recorded with Robbie, he has tons of them...

But it's important he decided to relase his own album. For the beginning it's OK.

Oh, and yes, I also like Niall! He's a good guy and a very talented musician.

He reminds me Rob but not as an artist but as a person. He looks very down to earth.

Well, Rob was in Take That, was into three of Spice Girls and now he's going to work with all 1D guys? LOL top man :P

Robbie Williams Wants to Be Like James Corden

Robbie Williams wants to follow in James Corden's footsteps and become a chat show host.

The 'Let Me Entertain Show' hitmaker has admitted becoming a judge on 'The X Factor' UK has given him a taste for television, and he'd love to get the chance to take the 'Late Late Show' host's lead by pursuing a new career fronting his own program.

Speaking on an Instagram live stream, Robbie said: "James Corden is incredibly talented. I'm going to go into TV, 'X Factor' has opened a few doors and James is my sort of inspiration for what I'm planning to be able to do. He makes it look so easy."Although Robbie, 45, kept quiet on any potential plans, Idris Elba could be an obvious choice for his first guest after he admitted the talented star is his "man crush".He added: "I have met Idris and he's easy to have a man crush on. He's everything you'd expect and want from Idris Elba. He's just smooth and lovely and cool."

Unlike Robbie's fellow Brit James - who originally starred in BBC sitcom 'Gavin and Stacey' - he has never managed to match the success he's enjoyed in his native UK Stateside. While the singer - who has been enjoying his first residency in Las Vegas - previously "gave up" and enjoyed his anonymity in the US, he recently admitted he's now focused on cracking the country.

He said: "I spent years trying to break America and then I just gave up and thought, 'I can come here unrecognized.'"But now I've changed my mind. I want everyone in America to know my name. I want Jennifer Aniston to know who I am."

Robbie, who has a house in Los Angeles, has admitted taking on the residency was a "no-brainer" because it has always been something he dreamed of.

He said: "This is a dream I've had since I was a kid. This is what I've always wanted to do. I love Vegas. I live 35 minutes away by plane.

"I can come here, bring my kids and perform in this city - which always seemed like the center of showbiz to me, because I grew up listening to Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra.

"These were the guys my dad wanted to be like, and I wanted to be like my dad, so Vegas was where it was at."

Somewhere I read weeks ago that Simon Cowell also wants to change the board of American Idol and x-factor USA. I wonder if he would consider giving Rob a spot there so that people get to know him.

If they know him these days his career in the USA if this is what he wants will for sure take off. It is simply another approach than 1999.

What do we have next then: Vacation, a short stint in one or two TT concerts possibly, Soccer Aid, new Las Vegas shows, Hyde Park, a stint with Hugh Jackman, the album to the David Williams musical book, x-factor, studio album?

Does someone know how the musical tickets sell?

I read this as Vatican Elisabeth.

I was thinking - he's with the Pope now?  :o

Lots to look forward to this year. :cheer:

Slow news day at the SUN -_-

I wonder when he dropped the note through the letter box, maybe Pete did it on his way back from Vegas

I just was on youtube and realized that one of my most loved Rob songs (though cooperation) of the last years 'the days' with Avicii has almost 170.000.000 views.

How sad that this artist went so early and how great and positive is this music.

It's such a load of b****cks isn't it?

Hopefully they're sorting it out anyway with or without a note through the letterbox. Life is too short. ^_^

Gosh - that's a lot of views.

Terrible shame - still in his twenties. Not even half a life.

I doubt they will drop into one another for tea  -_-
