He has achieved a top 15 song using a sample? The greatness of that is your opinion.

So? R.I.P uses a sample too. Lots of fantastic songs do. Euphoria sounds just like Beautiful People.

He has more than one song you know?

He's achieved something great. The last thing he is is a loser.

Eric you don't have to defend always your fave artists. It's like if it's a negative comment about a fave artists of you you always are in a defending position. Why?

You had a lot of negative comments towards Gaga or other pop stars, start to accept others comments too even if it's harsh. Just move on. that make people don't like you on here.

And Overload is nothing groundbreaking either to defend it so heavily.

I wasn't talking about other songs. Euphoria doesn't use a sample though.

Back to your argument, the greatness of the achievement is all your own opinion, not fact.

Train or Alex Clare for the #11 spot - in support of Team UK, I'm hoping Clare has managed another week in the top 10.
Can people stop feeding Eric with comments, it's just annoying to watch. Move on, ignore him, smile at his ridiculous comments and pretend as if he's right and move on.

I'm surprised this became such a big hit. Really sounds so painfully middle of the road, but I guess that's the sort of thing Heart FM eats up.

I've said hardly anything bad about Lady Gaga in AGES (or at least I've tried by very best not to ). But hopefully people can start to accept my harsh comments about her, and I'll try to do the same about my favourite artists and songs then.

I don't always defend my favourite artists tbh. Rihanna is one of my favourite artists, but I don't defend Where Have You Been, for example.

This is a ridiculously dull song. :(

I've been taking breaks, have the albums been revealed already?

Not yet. ;)

There's nothing wrong with Where Have You Been!

Passing judgement on Dot Rotten - I'm thrilled to see it did as well as #15 - before Sunday I thought it would've just made the top 40, then after Wednesday debuted at #19/20, so #15 is just fantastic. As for why he's used a sample - he posted on Twitter during the week that if 'Overload' didn't do well, Mercury were planning on dropping him - so it makes sense that he's sampled a well known instrumental in an attempt to generate sales/interest. It's good on him really, it's done far better than Skepta's sample of 'Everybody Dance Now' did.

It's all down to opinion!! Some people do find things wrong with the song, others don't.

There's nothing wrong with Where Have You Been!

don't get him started  he'll just say that it's a generic faceless dance-pop song that sounds exactly like 'beautiful people' or 'tik tok' or 'dynamite' or *insert literally any dance-pop hit here*

So my internet hasn't held up well at all so I'm a little late - but I was surprised that Dot Rotten song sampled Children, its not as awful as it could've been in all fairness,

I actually really like Nelly's song, its a real grower, shame it hasn't really shot her back to relevance.

oh and it was nice hearing Need You Now :D

I really, really hope Nelly has another single that can get her really popular again. Although I won't get my hopes up. :( I'm so excited for her album nonetheless. She's such an amazing pop star.
