All I have to say is, Liam Tamne not through, seriously? joke.

That was one of the ones that shocked me. That other guy that he was up against was so bad in comparison. Really don't know what Will was thinking about. :manson:

Emily was far my favourite of the night, loved the quirkiness of her voice. So so sad she wasn't chosen, but even before they sang I knew Will would pick Moni.

They were both good. That and the performance of Starlight were the best of the night. A 60-year-old singing Muse should have been embarrassing but it wasn't.

I would never have thought that Little Talks would have been such a popular choice for these shows but now we've seen it done twice within a couple weeks. It's back in the iTunes chart again so perhaps it will make another return to the top 40 next week

Getting sick fed up of Jessie's strops and tantrums. -_-

To be fair, sitting at home, I was as angry as her. Liam was the best in this competition by a LONG way, I was so excited to see him again at the battle rounds. Will is the worst coach/judge on any of these shows. I mean, his reasoning for getting rid of Liam was because "its about more than just the voice", does he have any clue what show he is on? He is utterly useless.

I didn't see it all but can someone please tell me what's the deal with Alex? He's one of the bookies faves to win (or at least was about a week ago). He murdered 'Don't Wake Me Up' in his blind audition, and sounded ghastly in his battle round. Then both Will.I.Am and Danny fought to keep him.

I don't get it.

Seconded. I don't see the appeal, he's awful yet all the judges love him

The girl who sang Little Talks should've got through :( will.i.am made some bad moves last night.

I doubt this has been fixed.

Anyway, we need to discuss guess slots for when the finals occur.

Jessie, Will.I.Am probably promote new tracks, dunno who else?

The Script might release another song from their album. Sir Tom Jones might release a new Greatest Hits set? :D

I think Jessie had every right to be upset about Will's decision! It was hardly a strop, as Digital Spy reported, she just needed her space.

I really liked Mike and Emma's battle, although there was very little battling going on. Such a beautiful song to cover though, and they both did it justice. I liked Laura and Abi too, but Laura was right saying that Abi could just use her 'trump card' to swing it her way. Nadeem and Karl were also very good! My favourites went through overall throughout the show though, so I'm pleased.

She was having a strop. What exactly was she going to achieve by moaning at him? It wouldn't make him change his mind, and her storming off just caused an awkward atmosphere. I think Tom gets sick fed up of Jessie most of the time, too.

I didn't agree with Will's decision - but it wasn't as if John was bad. I totally disagree with Jessie's reaction and showed her up to be the attention seeking drama queen that she constantly is. Knowing that John could hear everything being said seeing as he was stood on the edge of the stage, and basically just calling Will stupid for supporting him, also showed that Jessie is a bitch.

I can see why Jessie is a judge on The Voice - she might have vocal talent, but if you bring any other aspect of hers into it, she's a pretty vile, unlikeable creature.

The thing that grates on me the most about Jessie J is that she wants to "feel" the emotion in a song. Some people can do this beautifully without resorting to screaming and shouting their way through a song. Sadly, "screaming and shouting" is Jessie J's idea of emotion.

No wonder Sir Tom Jones won The Voice last year. He's by far the most sensible judge, gives his artists some really good song choices and, imo, cares the most about his team. It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if Sir Tom Jones won The Voice again this year.

I'm in agreement with much of this. The fact she turned around for Cleo Higgins after she did a single run said quite a lot - she cares more about her silly little runs and over-powerful vocals than the 'emotion' she speaks of.

And about Tom - last night, every time one of his battles came on, I thought 'meh, don't care about either', but constantly, his team's battles were vocally the best. I love Alys's voice, and how you can hear her accent through it.

At least Tom Jones is in a better position to be annoyed with Jessie J than will.i.am is. His constant incoherent wittering from the sidelines is just as irritating than anything Jessie J has done. Tom Jones is really the only one who constantly seems to care more about his team than about him/herself. Perhaps they need more coaches whose peak sales days are behind them.

:( I really can't stand her voice for that very reason. Shuddered every time she sang the word 'rambling'.

Agreed on Alys, her voice is stunning  My favourites at this stage are Leanne, Leah, Abi and Letitia (who reminds me of Ruth Brown without the constant OTT runs). I seem to dislike a fair of the singers though, especially Connor and Mitchell. Don't see the massive fuss around Matt, Ash or Karl either, although they're good.

And I agree with annoyance towards Jessie too. I'm actually a fan, she has vocal talent, is a great popstar and seems a nice girl - but she's so irritating! She really does seem to value over-powered vocal runs over anything else, and whilst sometimes that can show an incredible voice, I usually prefer an understated voice like Alys, Emily (still pissed Moni beat her!) etc.

Oh I do agree, I don't necessarily like Will either, TBH. He's just arrogant - and doesn't really care what any of the others say, because he always goes in a completely different direction from what they're thinking.

I really think Dido would have been much better as a coach than Jessie. :kink:

Dido? Can she even speak?!

There's nothing wrong with vocal runs just as long as they don't use them in the first 30 seconds of a song. When a song builds up to the massive final chorus it can be the makings of a brilliant vocal performance. However, build the song up too quick then you go back to my earlier point of "screaming and shouting".

The worst example I ever heard of this was Kelly Clarkson singing 'Since U Been Gone' live. She built up the first verse and had a big first chorus. The problem was there was still a verse 2 so instead singing it like the studio version, she used to sing it a whole octave higher and when the second chorus kicked in, several dogs could be seen running around frantically in circles and chasing their tails.

(ok, so maybe not but you know what I'm getting at - it sounded dreadful anyways :P )
