I don't think Swagger Jagger really deserves the hate it got. A few years ago, songs like London Bridge, Hollaback Girl, Promiscuous, etc. were being massive #1s, and those are probably even more trashy than Swagger Jagger imo. I guess those types of songs have gone out of fashion, and to be fair, they did get a lot of hate at the time, but still.

Swagger Jagger was THE song of 2011. Y'all better deal with it.

Swagger Jagger sold over 200k and got number 1, With Ur Love sold over 150k and got #4 and she had top 5 album that's sold over 225k! She isn't excatly a huge star in UK but i wouldn't say she was a 'Flop'

One More Night is quite an improvement over Payphone, so I wouldn't mind seeing it at #1 at some point (obviously i'd rather Some Nights got there though). I can see it doing well in the UK too, an X Factor performance would easily get them a top five place

#270 now, but even that is pretty impressive - could be yet another Brit hit if radio get behind it. Much as I hate to compare him to Bieber it's a very valid comparison and there's clearly a market for Conor in the USA (as somewhat proven by this early 'success'), just a question of whether he gets the exposure.

Conor is friends with Pharrell I think. 7 years ago that would've guaranteed him a #1 hit on the Hot 100. :lol: Still, it's a pretty good connection to have though. And he's got a collab with Ne-Yo on the album, although I think the song is quite average tbh.

Considering they're essentially the same song, I'd say going for the one that mentions an American place was the best option for a lead single there. (I do marginally prefer "Can't Say No" though - possibly because it came first)
