July 11, 201214 yr Porter Robinson    Amazing that this amazing song is being noticed by radio 1! Also great to see Rita Ora and Redlight joining the playlist, I haven't heard the new single from Redlight yet.
July 11, 201214 yr Rita! It doesn't look like Karmin are being playlisted, hopefully Capital can make sure they go top 10!
July 11, 201214 yr It seems Radio 1 have re-playlisted 'Niggas In Paris' (straight back onto the A-List) as a joint entry with 'No Church In The Wild'! That helps explain why it's now holding up so well again I guess. WTF at the double Wiley playlisting though - what even is that other song? Great to see Rita Ora added and also woo at Ben Howard re-releasing 'Old Pine' - given his recent form he should hopefully manage to make it a top 100 hit on the second time around, a fifth top 100 hit overall for him (one more than Mumford & Sons got off their album) :D Redlight finally releasing a follow-up to 'Get Out My Head', I was beginning to think he'd died or something. Haven't heard the Frank Ocean song yet but yay for him getting playlisted in his own right. I wonder why 'Thinkin Bout You' is doing the best of the album tracks on iTunes though if the single is 'Pyramids'? (Generic yay at Calvin, Conor and Wiley going up to the A-List / Rocky, Cedric, Drake, Drumsound and Muse going up to the B-List). Edited July 11, 201214 yr by Bré
July 11, 201214 yr Not to do with Radio 1's playlist but Capital have playlisted Amelia Lily yet no sign of Little Mix! :o Also playlisted Pink, Trey Songz & Ne-Yo .... and Roll Deep 'Good Times'
July 11, 201214 yr Woo @ Frank Ocean! Haven't heard the radio edit of Pyramids. The original is almost ten minutes long so there must be one.

I wonder why 'Thinkin Bout You' is doing the best of the album tracks on iTunes though if the single is 'Pyramids'? It's the song about his first love, which turned out to be a guy after he came out last week. Generic being pleased to see Rita Ora added, and hopefully B.o.B will be moved up to the A-list shortly. I'm glad that Katy Perry's still up there though, I thought she'd be long gone by now!

July 11, 201214 yr The latter sounds like an error - presumably 'Good Time' (sans 's') by Owl City and Carly Rae Jepsen? Hmmm yes that sounds more plausible! Hopefully it's true, 'Good Time' is a TUNE.

Interesting that coming out as bisexual can do wonders for a male artist's career. Nicki Minaj didn't get much of a sales boost. It's a bit sad though, but good for him. July 11, 201214 yr WOW, never thought i would see the day Wiley made it to the A List I think Wearing My Rolex was on the A list when it came out.
July 11, 201214 yr PLEASE DON'T PANIC ABOUT Little Mix yet. It's a long time before their release. However, I'm sure they'll be on the playlist next week when they go on their Radio tour. If you wanna complain, email to Radio 1 or Capital.
July 11, 201214 yr I think Wearing My Rolex was on the A list when it came out. That song was massive. I'd be very, very surprised if it didn't make A-List!! I mean, it's Radio 1 we're talking about.
July 11, 201214 yr How is Rita Ora nly just added, they literally played it 4 times both today and yesterday during my work experience (9.30-4)
July 11, 201214 yr Calvin Harris featuring Example - We'll Be Coming Back The STRONGEST song out there with a GREAT video clip... Y to release so far away if it's already A-List with a video and everything? They would get it right now with a huge lead - no competition!
July 11, 201214 yr B-List Disclosure - Control Drake featuring The Weeknd - Crew Love C-List * Frank Ocean - Pyramids Fuck yeah.
July 11, 201214 yr Ooh. Nice to see Frank playlisted with 'Pyramids' I wonder if they'll play the full length version or if they have a 3-4 minute radio edit. Still hope for Little Mix yet (even though nobody should be worrying just yet or ever - I'm confident 'wings' will get at least C-Listed). They're released the week after Rita IIRC.
