Oh dear, hope Misha B can hold up :(

Everyone was saying she'd be bigger than even Little Mix and she's here struggling to go top 10 even with a reduction! Shame :( God knows how badly she'd be doing at full price!

(I know top 20 is nothing to turn your nose up at but with the hype and support she has plus a reduction she should at least be 6/7 ish by now I would have thought!)

Its not been played a lot on radio only radio 1 and a bit on kiss I think also the gap between the top 10 and the rest were quite big she is still climbing I reckon if she gets in the top 10 by tonight she will climb quite a bit

I'd say most songs that have sold this much have huge crossover appeal. I mean, even my mum liked Moves Like Jagger  . Other songs that I'd argue have cross over appeal are definitely Someone Like You, Somebody That I Used To Know etc. I also find that songs that have a lot of longevity tend to have a degree of crossover appeal too (different groups/ ages of people) like Video Games, Written In The Stars etc.

I agree that Lana and Adele cross over to people of many different music tastes. Other artists such as Rihanna have a lot of success due to that.

I read somewhere that Rolling in the Deep is the biggest crossover hit in the US of the past 25 years!!!

Black Heart by Stooshe is probably the biggest crossover hit at the moment in the UK. It has appeal to people of such a variety of music tastes.

The chart needs a massive clear out! the top 10 is hardly going to change yet again and STIUTK and Starships are still hanging around 20.

It's so annoying that new releases are just dropping down so fast and it's not even as though they all deserve (well some of them do).

Agreed - it will be the same next week too - I think the only big release then is Conor Maynard

I would love Conor Maynard to get to #1 next week. His song is really good, although I preferred Can't Say No.

Misha B is really closing in on the top 10! I'd love Wide Awake to stay there, but it's had it's time and hasnt climbed much so goo Misha!!

10. Wide Awake 0.4875

11. Home Run 0.4500

On a brighter note, I believe 'Spectrum' is now back ahead of 'Payphone' when combined. Florence getting a second week at #1 would be unbelievably fantastic. :D

On the other hand Maroon 5 would make a nice pattern :D

We already covered that yesterday. If Florence has the slightest chance of getting two weeks at no. 1, I'm completely rooting for that to happen. Hope to see 'Payphone' down to 0.7000 on Kworb in the next few hours. :D

On a seperate note:

80. Lianne La Havas - Is Your Love Big Enough?

I'm guessing people are buying this off the album. Isn't this iTunes free single of the week?

It might be a slightly poisioned chalice though- the sales could rival a 2012 record for the lowest weekly sales (currently Flo Rida on 50,907). Oh how unusual for me to post something baout sales! :D

Dont Maroon 5 have 3rd version on itunes?

At #725. Plus a fourth version at #1,002.

But Florence + The Machine's album version is at #193 as well.

I'm assuming that the new No Doubt song isn't available on UK iTunes yet?

I guess not, but it's already #13 in the US!!

If they released it now, how high would it go on iTunes?

Oh, and stop spamming and actually contribute to the forum like the vast majority of other posters do with ease.

Probably not very high up. It usually depends on the group and just how popular they are in the UK. Take That 'Love Love' was released OA/OS and rocketed up to #3 (unless I'm mistaken) before plummeting down again. Blur just about made the top 20 with 'Under The Westway' but dropped heavily. Had both tracks had weeks of endless airplay - both radio and TV - they would've definitely entered a lot higher than they did officially.

As sad as it sounds, if No Doubt stood any chance of getting another UK hit they would be best to hold back the release, get airplay to increase and release the music video. It's like Pink's new single. Released now, it'd probably stall around the top 30 - maybe top 20 at a push. Wait until September with more radio airplay and video rotation and it'll probably enter inside the top 10 (I personally can't see 'Blow Me' going to #1 in the UK).
