It's as if these artists (Britney, Mariah, Christina) are trying to upstage each other by all appearing as reality TV judges! I might watch a bit of her, she's got an ace personality from what I've seen of her on British TV.

Apparently we get something from the era each day this week, probably just a rumour but apparently it's:

Monday: The single cover

Tuesday: The lyrics

Wednesday: The album name

Thursday: The album cover

Friday: The single release

Friday is 'early August', so it's possible :w00t:

Looks the rumour was at least partly true:

Première's on Thursday!! EEP!

She looks like a goddess on that cover.

I'm very excited to hear the song. Mariah has so many amazing songs.

Looks very 'Emancipation Of MiMi'-era! Exciting. Hopefully the music's half as good!
Oh dear the cover. However - did we expect anything less from Mariah? Perhaps a knitted cardigan and slippers? It adds to her hilarity tbh.
I wish she'd stop trying to redo "The Emancipation of Mimi". It was a great era, and what was good about it was she was trying to recover herself over and over again.
She posted a photo on Instagram with these likely lyrics "in spite of the chains that bind you, you can see the mountain top. it's not too far". It's looking like a ballad or midtempo then. I like the look of those lyrics, I was expecting something quite urban and throwaway when I saw Rick Ross was involved but I could be surprised yet!
REALLY hope this is good. I may actually watch some of American Idol with her as a judge. I sure it will produce some amazing MOMENTS.

It's a fast-paced midtempo with a Love In This Club (Pt II) vibe. APPARENTLY.

I hadn't heard that version of the song before but, listening to it, that's exactly the sort of song I expected from those lyrics. I'm not sure it's what she needs right now, but hopefully it's a triumphant moment nonetheless.

Love in this club vibe? gross. I love Mariah but the two guest verses are definitely making me less excited for this.

Well, she specified the Part II, which is very different to the original.

Out of Mariah's discography (that I know), Love in This Club, Part II probably sounds most similar to the urban Make It Last remix of Thank God I Found You (ft. Nas and Joe).

Rick Ross and Meek Mill being on the song made me VERY excited for the song, because that pretty much guarantees it won't be generic.

The snippet has me even more worried now....didnt hear any kind of hook it just an amateur sounding rap and mariah wailing a bit. Hopefully the full song will deliver.

I do believe Mariah still manages to sell decently in America, especially on the album chart, but from a UK perspective it is the opposite, with her last few relesaes i have found her quiet irrelevant which is wrong of me considering the power house career she has behind her. There was a time i would be on the look out for new Mariah material and looked forward to a belting Mariah ballad but with her last few releases they did not connect with me in the slightest and as a result i get less and less excited about each Mariah release.

I will however be keen to see what she will be like on idol. I dont think it can do anything but benefit her, but i do hope she will be honest and have back bone and not sit there and pretend to be nice to everyone and anyone as that gets overly boring extremely quick.

Actually quite liking the sound of this. Up until now I've only ever been a fan of 'Obsessed', the rest I'll be happy to never hear again!
