Fantastic to see Karmin so high eventually  Really hope it's a massive hit. I get the feeling it's going to climb for a couple of extra weeks after this one though, for some reason. This week I'm expecting a debut at #9/#10 (due to the Now versions pushing others like Stooshe, Fun. and Maroon 5 above them) then next week they climb to a new peak of #7 before eventually peaking at #4/#5. I dunno why, but I don't think this will be as shortly lived as some people may think...

Great to see Karmin doing well (even if it is just because of the new "NOW" album...). Hopefully this will get it playlisted on radio 1.
Possibly Carly Rae Jepsen's first single from her new album?

Surely 'Call Me Maybe' will count as the first from the album?

That was from her EP Curiousity (which weirdly still hasn't been released yet in the UK or indeed many countries outside of Canada!) although they'll probably stick it on there anyway along with ow or two other tracks from the EP.

Where did Laura from Bat for Lashes come back from?

Owl City is on the releases list as releasing his album on 20/8 - thats when that carley single could join the chart, unless the singles earlier?!

How much of an effect do you think the Olympics Opening Ceremony will have on iTunes? Do you think they'll be a few songs that will crept up to the Top100?

By the way: Just a question. Which was the first older song to climb back into the Top40 because it was sang at a concert? Wasn't it 'I'll Be Missing You' when it was sang at the Princess Diana concert back in July 2007?

Did Wearing My Rolex get to number 1? i think i read somewhere once that it was #1 on itunes.

Wearing My Rolex *only* got to #2 (although maybe it got to #1 on iTunes, I don't know).

This is kind of exactly what I predicted it'd do just before release :kink: I'm really surprised to see it already as high as #4 on iTunes though, thought it'd stall in the lower top 10 - I can definitely see this peaking at 2 or 3 now but wherever it peaks it'll hang around for ages.

Really surprised to see Karmin doing so well on iTunes! Not long now till they're at #3, although they're probably like at about #8 combined with all the boosts from the NOW! album. Brokenhearted sounds like a summer anthem so I'm really hoping it's going to be big. I do think it will stick around once airplay picks up a bit more. Hopefully some Radio 1 playlisting today!

I've got a funny feeling it's going to be one of those things when we look back and can't believe it was released the same week as Vegas Girl, as I can see Karmin sticking around a lot longer. A bit like Moves Like Jagger and Wretch 32's 'Don't Go'.

^ They're already #3!!

12 months ago, I never imagined I'd see Karmin so high on iTunes. This is so weird.

Same  Even less so when I heard Crash Your Party, that was awful tbf!

So happy for them though, they're great and Brokenhearted is a brilliant summer tune  Really hope it does what I think it will and sticks around for ages. It'll probably still be top 20/top 10 when Vegas Girl leaves the top 40!

Yeah, a radio friendly US song hanging around in the charts longer than a less radio friendly UK song would be SO SHOCKING, and TOTALLY UNPREDICTABLE! Cos that never usually happens.[/sarcasm] No, seriously though, I agree, it's obvious that will happen, it's the way it happens 99% of the time.

I remember discussing Karmin here, back in April 2011. http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?s...p;#entry3524329 The girl is so amazing!! :D

Although I'm usually more happy about artists like Tyga, Frank Ocean, etc. getting their low top 40 hits, because they've been trying for a lot longer and harder to get mainstream success, and do it with less mainstream songs.

On a random note Bre (hippo) and Eric Blob (Dog) are back for your entertainment

I just started reading through that. Memories of the week 'Judas' was released!

It gives me memories of when Look At Me Now was huge. :( I hope Chris releases Bassline as his next single, it could really be the new Look At Me Now.

Also, the weather being like this makes me realize all the top 10 is actually so summery!! Spectrum, Vegas Girl, Brokenhearted, Payphone, Don't Wake Me Up, Black Heart, This is Love, Feel the Love and Whistle all have a definite summer feel to them imo.
